I would love to make it somehow themed around either Pokémon or Zelda. I would like your guys help on what I should do based on those themes.

I'm sorry you haven't gotten many responses but you're not giving us much to work with here. How old are the two of you and can you travel somewhere? How much money are you interested in spending? Are you doing something for a few hours or just a little bit or are you going overnight somewhere?

If you like Pokémon, get her the new Pokémon Go game and go play with each other for a while. That's a fun date and you can celebrate happy anniversary. A year in a relationship is pretty solid for an achievement and that should be something worth celebrating.

Get her that game if she likes it.

The real question is: Why isn't she planning anything for you? Why are you the one who has to do the planning?

Anyway, congrats. A year is a good amount of time. Have fun with her and go with an experience over a present. It's better to *do* something instead of buy something for her, if you know what I mean. The shared experiences are what make anniversaries memorable. Any old present is just, whatever.

If Pokémon and Zelda were significant in your meeting Allison, then by all means do it. Otherwise I would suggest trying to gather elements of your first meeting together. On my side, I used to go back to the very place where we first kissed (on the mezzanine of a dance floor). This is even where I proposed; he even told me that he went there a few times after we had an argument (and were still not living together) to cry and try to remember happier times.

I must agree with Ghostbear and Janus, you are not helping us much here. I do like their ideas. Now it depends on your wallet,my man. And it does not need to be expensive. Maybe a nice dinner out or catch a movie? Maybe download Pokemon Go and take the phones around and see what poke-critters you can find at the movies or restaurant? Or do you want to make some goodies for her? Check out Rosanna Pansino's YouTube channel, she does a lot of video game inspired goodies, like the Triforce lemon bars or Pokemon cookies.

Or here is a crazy idea, ask her what she wants to do.

Okay,so let's get creative here. Assuming you can read instructions and work an oven, try making pokeball cookies. I think Rosanna Pansino has a vid on that. Or if you want the Cliff's Notes on it,buy a tube or two of sugar cookie dough, cut and bake them. Then buy some cookie icing and some white candies and make the pokeballs you want.

Oldschool's idea actually sounds the best so far.
Its inexpensive and its something you are putting effort into making for her.
I think she will appreciate that more than anything you can get pre-made or store bought.

supershawn64 : I love the Pokeball cookies others have mentioned. I'd suggest something you craft instead of something to buy. You've got a week before the celebrations begin.

More ideas:
Pokeball pizza (pepperoni one side, cheese on the other, black olives in center)
Pokeball cake (strawberries on one side, icing on the other, blueberries in the middle)
Pokeball anniversary card - color top half of paper plate red, then attach the red and white halves to another paper plate so it opens from the middle "I choose you, (Her name)."
Pokemon rocks - paint smooth rocks to look like her favorite pokemon and either give them to her in a basket/box or arranged somewhere outside where she will see it (if outside, don't forget a varnish to protect your paint and make it weatherproof)

Ahhh gamers in love. <3
