I live in Brazil, Federal district. Normally rain a lot. But these last years the weather was crazy, and the rain is gone.

It rains when it wants to rain in my area and that could be never or all the time, but usually its would rain some days. Just last week it was raining for a few days straight.

I live in Washington State so it does rain a lot, lately it hasn't rained much, because it does get quite hot in the summer, right now it's 94 degrees, and it is suppose to cool down a bit tomorrow, but during the Fall/Winter it can get really bad, and flooding etc. I don't mind the rain though, especially in the fall/winter.

tornadocam : I can appreciate the fact that you're a scientist because you're actually defining the phrase "a lot" regarding rainfall. I thought, "What is a lot, exactly? We're not Kauai, Hawaii and we're not the Gobi Desert."

You used measurements. That's awesome.

I live in eastern Michigan so we have lake effect weather, where warm weather patterns pick up moisture and humidity from Lake Michigan as they come west to east across the state. It means more snow than other parts of the country sometimes. It also means more rain compared to other places.

I don't have the interest to go see the comparative levels but we are down in terms of total rain. It has been a hot summer and the lake levels are all down a bit. That's our judge for rainfall.

Otherwise, we'll get a thunderstorm or three every month and maybe a rain shower two times a month from March/April to late September/early October.

Compared to Mali, yes, we get a ton of rain. Compared to Kaneohe, Oahu, Hawaii, we don't get very much rain.

I suppose that depends on how you define a lot. I, and I would suspect most others replying, are pretty much only used to the climate where we live so it's kind of hard to judge how much rain would be out of the usual.

I live in Sweden so one would assume it's really cold here. However I also live in the southernmost part close to Denmark, where the climate is a bit more similar to that of other western European countries. It's not extremely cold here though it's very rare that it gets really warm (30+ degree celsius) too. It rains somewhat randomly though I guess there's a decent frequency. Sometimes a little bit and a few times it's sometimes it downright pouring to the point where it's hard to go outside. I wouldn't say it rains an unsual amount though considering our location. Of course if comparing with countries further south that are known for being very hot and having droughts it would be.

Depending on the season, it sometimes rains more where I live. Before the weather started to become more erratic, it used to be that at select times during the afternoons every summer, there would be a lot of rain (and by rain I mean torrential downpours that soaked a person to the skin in the span of just a few seconds). ^^0;;

Bro we get so much rain, it's actually sad. And then after months of rain we suddenly have like 1 week of great weather. After which it just starts raining again.

You kind of get used to it after a while, so the rain doesn't bother me.

I don't really think we get enough rain, but we get a decent amount I guess. It actually rained here fairly recently, and even had sleet and a tiny bit of snow. One time recently it was so cold that the rain was frozen and it froze the roads a little.

I wish I had snow though

It's supposed to rain normally like most places, I suppose. But, the entire Fall Semester here it only rained 3 times, 1 of those lasting less tan 15 minutes.
Its rained the past few days, so you could say it's a welcomed change.
