When does tyranitar learn earthquake in this game? My tyranitar is level 55, and I haven't learned earthquake yet. Also, does machoke evolve into machamp, or do you still have to trade?

By looking at tyranitars moveset for that gen it is level 61 unsure if light platinum changed it but if it didn't I would go with that.
From a bit of looking up the only way to get a Machamp is by trading a Medicham for a Machoke somewhere which then it will evolve from there. Outside of that you can't get Machamp without trading with another user which you can't do as far as I am aware.

I've played so many Pokémon hacks I can't remember for sure if it applies in Light Platinum or not, but in many hacks there are items for evolving "Evolution-By-Trade" Pokémon. In one hack (I want to say Glazed??), there was an item literally called "Trade Stone" which would evolve those kinds of Pokémon simply by using it on them like you would a Potion.
Though it's also worth mentioning that MANY hacks also change trading evolution to simply evolving by level, even if only for certain Pokemon (generally proportionate as if it were the natural way [ex: Kadabra = 16 so Alakazam = 35-40]), but once again, I'm not sure if this even applies here.

Again, I'm not 100% sure if any of this applies in Light Platinum or not, but I figured it's worth checking.

The move set for light platinum has changed because pupitar should of learned earthquake at lvl 54, but never did. I'm hoping tyranitar learns earthquake soon because I really don't feel like having to use the earthquake tm that I have ha. I was just curious about machamp because in light platinum, both electabuzz and magmar  evolve into magmortar and electivire at like level 40 or something like that
