Muhamed Ali (Rip) what do you think is the greatest boxer ever ? For me sure....the 3 matches versus freezer and versus Goerge Foreman are the best match in the history. For me Ali, Rey Leonard Sugar and Roy Jones Junior the best boxer of all time.

I'm in my 30s so I got to watch boxing in the 80s and 90s. I have never actually sat and watched an entire Muhammad Ali bout but I'm going with Mike Tyson. Even at 19, 20, and 21 years old, he was absolutely dominant and he destroyed people as he went along. He fell off the wagon because he had no other means of expressing himself except hitting people.

Unfortunately, his career ended early. Mike Tyson otherwise would have gone head to head against any other boxer in their prime and he would have one. I ask anyone who answers this thread to watch him box Michael Spinks and win in about 90 seconds. It's disgusting.

He lost his title, he won it back, he ran into legal trouble, and then things spiraled out of control. Had he have stayed right, he would be the greatest boxer of all time.

Ali is easily the greatest ever. He paved the way for guys like Tyson to exist. I still think Tyson was scary when he came along but Ali was the greatest. It's hard to argue for anyone else in my opinion.

I've never been a big fan of his but I can't argue his impact either on the sport.

I never watch boxing, but I knew about Muhamed Ali. The guy with the most common names in the world and the greatest boxer of all time for me, since I don't watch the sport I still know about him and what he done. At least we all will know him for what a awesome man he was and so will the future I think

Technically he wasn't the greatest boxer statistically, but he sure put on a good show. When I watched his matches I was enraptured, and he had such an interesting personality for the time and error. His opposition to the Vietnam War was actually something I respect, and I wish we could have more opposition to the Government's war decisions today.
