I guess that the only suggestions I could make would be to compare to other racing games and/or of Game Boy games in order to show how Mario Kart stands.

I really should try this game since I've played just about every other Mario Kart game that's out there.

Anyway, this was a pretty good review to read. You did a great job at motivating me to get curious and try the game out! I agree with you about the items, they should be more balanced/random. I probably only have a 20% success rate at actually hitting another player with a green shell. It usually only works when I'm right behind them.
