As the title and description state, I got the Nathan Drake Collection today, and I'm shocked by the amount of swearing in it. I'm only part of the way into the first game, but I've already heard more swearing than I expected in the first two combined. I'll finish the collection but only because it cost too much (and was a gift from my family who knew I was planning on buying it myself) to just quit during the first game in the collection. Had I known there was this much foul language I would have passed on it entirely. I can handle some, but I don't want to hear at least one (usually more) swear words per cut scene almost, plus random swears in-game. The language pushes my personal boundaries, but it's tolerable enough that I can stand to finish. It's a shame because aside from the needless swear words, the dialogue is hilarious.
Now my biggest issue is that my little nephew wants to play it and I have to keep it muted for him to play (kill the dialogue and cutscene volume and leave music and sound effects on), and it's quite embarrassing to tell him, his dad, and my family that I have to keep it down because they cuss too much in the game, especially with me being a preacher and so being held to a high standard on things like this. And no, the violence isn't an issue for him as he has access at his house to games that are far more violent than even I could handle playing.
So yeah, can anyone who has played all four (or five counting Golden Abyss) tell me if the later Uncharted games have this much swearing or more? I'm really hoping against all odds that the game was just trying too hard to be edgy being the first in the series and needing to find it's voice.
