So, I decided to make one of my recycling center saved computers useful again, and make it into a hyperspin machine. The machine in question is a Dell Dimension 5100, and it has mostly stock specs, other than the RAM and hard drive, it had 1 GB (from 2 512 MB sticks) and I upgraded it to 2 GB (I could go further but the CPU is 32bit which means it only supports 4 GB of RAM max.)
Specs:
Intel Pentium 4 3GHz
2GB of RAM
80 GB internal hard drive (getting a 2 TB external one for CD games)
(putting an AMD Radeon (8000 series I believe) in soon once I get the card)
So, does this work? Yes it actually does, and quite well, I have a buttload of MAME games on there and I haven't seen an issue with them, so do you guys have a hyperspin cab, and if you do, what are the specs?
