[O.C.D.] The original Call of Duty was release in 2003 for Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X.

While it's true that there has been a Call of Duty game published and released by Activision virtually every year, that's not to say that Infinity Ward put out a game every year. While Call of Duty, Call of Duty 2, the Modern Warfare series, Ghosts and Infinite warfare were developed by Infinity Ward, Call of Duty 2: Big Red One, Call of Duty 3, Call of Duty: World at War and the Black Ops series were all developed by Treyarch, Call of Duty: Finest Hour was developed by Spark Unlimited, the expansion for the original game, Call of Duty: United Offensive, was developed by Grey Matter Interactive, Call of Duty: World at War - Final Fronts was developed by Rebellion Developments and Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare was developed by Sledgehammer Games. And that's not even counting the handheld games....

m0ssb3rg935 : I was aware that Infinity Ward hadn't always made them, I didn't mean to imply otherwise. However, I didn't know when they stepped in nor did I know all of those other people had made them. I think IW had the rights when I got back into gaming, plus FPS don't appeal to me in the slightest so I never keep up with them. Thanks for the information though, I didn't know that.
