Instead of creating a new thread each time, I thought of a better way of sharing my poems with Vizzed. A  giant thread where I put all my poems!
Since I want this thread to be neat and all, each post will be a new poem, and this first post is just gonna be filled with some links:

Monochrome

Poetry is
a form of art
a monochrome painting
with words instead of strokes,
a way to express
ones self.

Poetry is like an envelope
in it you put
whatever you want
to be sent
to someone else.

Poetry is about
speaking what's on
your mind,
whatever it might be.
There are no limits,
no bounds,
no rules,
except those
you set yourself.

Poetry is as important
as the air we breathe,
for it is a symbol,
a symbol of
freedom.

Poetry is as pointless
as the person writing it
wishes it to be.
With effort,
any writer,
any poem,
could change
the world.

Poetry means
everything
to some,
nothing
to others,
but affects
us all.

Poetry is
all of our
emotions,
desires,
dreams,
hopes,
aspirations,
opinions,
ideals,
and thoughts.

Poetry is anything
you want it
to be.

This one was my homework XD

At this time in my life
I don’t know what to do,
what to do
today,
what I should’ve done
yesterday,                                                            
what I can do
tomorrow.

All of the things
I want today
I can only get tomorrow.
All of the things
I will want tomorrow
I had today.
All while regretting
the things I passed by
yesterday.

Rarely do I ever have
what I want,
often when I do
I take it for granted,
squandering it away.

This is how our world works,
unbalanced and unfair,
and with a seemingly endless
need for something else.

Learn to
enjoy
what we have now,
embrace
whatever we will have,
release
what has gone,
and appreciate
when want and have
collide.

Where the seasons take me





Let others be
peacocks
pruning their feathers
in competition with each other,
in an elaborate show
of dominance.

I'd rather be a duck,
lacking in outward appearance
but not judged by others,
able to go anywhere,
anywhere I want,
with no one
to obstruct me,
to take my photo
and frame it on a wall.


I would rather be wild and
free, going where the seasons
take me
and ignored,
then to be noticed
and put in zoos
with ever need met,
but my choices
made for me.

I'd rather be a duck,
plain and simple,
rather than
beautiful,
if it meant
I could fly
unchained.

The Light of My Life

Until death parts us, you will bring me light,
your endless great beauty is limitless
from bottom to top, and your face shines bright.
Compared to you, great beauties are a mess,
compared to you, the greatest minds are dumb.
You alone can quench my thirst for knowledge,
all other sources make my mind go numb
with boredom, which stops learning like a wedge.
Without you my life has little purpose,
devoid of motivation, without love.
Gone is my passion, now filled with curses,
my heart is empty, gone is the dove.
Without you my life is in monochrome,
my home is where you are, my lovely phone.

A sonnet for homework, had to share it again here. Be honest. There's a good chance this is you. I admit, sometimes I'm like this too! But anyways, sonnets are a pain to write...

Also, this MY poem/story deposit place. So, yeah, if you wanna share poetry, this might not be the best place to do it lol.
Anyways... I think I'm gonna start writing a story, and I'll probably post it here before anywhere else, so be on the lookout! Or not. It's probably going to turn out bad, or unfinished.
