Steam now allows you to buy games from their store using bitcoin as an option.

This is something I like a lot because it's relatively easy to get low amounts of bitcoin without doing much, and it's easy to also get bitcoin gifts and use it in transactions, so I think this is a cool idea.

I know most people don't in fact use bitcoin or even know how to, but it could still work out for a lot of people.

What are your thoughts?

Doesn't accept Doge Coin

0/10 would not shop

But its a good marketing strategy. It makes spending a little easier.

Bitcoins are a scam. It is not backed by any government,it is not guaranteed to hold value and you can lose a huge part of bitcoin purchasing power in a day. Yes,I know the same can be said for traditional money, but bitcoin is just a bad idea.

Oldschool777 : Forget traditional money, in the last couple years, gold has been more of a "scam" than bitcoin, and its not like bitcoin is the stock market, I've made and spent more than $2,000 in bitcoin So far in my life, and I only spent $5 in total to get that.

Sure the price can go up and down, but its much easier to get than what you have to do foe real money.

Well this is interesting, even though I will probably never use that feature since I don't even know how to even get bitcoin and I doubt I ever will get bitcoin since I heard that it's not very good.

18mlivingston : lol, where have you heard that bitcoin isn't good? It's the 3rd most used and 4th most successful currency in the world right now, and it's super easy to get.

Also unrelated but also related, after all these years, the creator of bitcoin finally revealed who he was today.
