There have been a few people who have returned from a perma ban but most of the time they just caused more arguments (take thing1 for example).

Also depends on the things they did to get perma'd. Posting porn or heavy flaming is generally a no.

A big reason why is because a lot of the member here are teens and being away from the site for a year or more can really change the attitudes that someone has. It's a lot of time to mature and change for the better. It doesn't always work when we do it but it has had the occasional success.

I believe I could be used as an example in this thread. I was perma'd for posting porn in vizzed chat due to basically going insane. I won't go into details why I went insane, but yeah that happened. Luckily, the community let me back in after about 8 months away.

Final Weapon : the staff can discuss the issue and if we feel it has been enough time and that bringing him back would be a good idea then we will bring him back. If we don't think it has been enough time or that what he did was bad enough that we feel he doesn't deserve to return then we won't unban him.

I think the policy is if 6 months have passed after your permaban, then you can ask the Staff to come back. It usually takes more time than just 6 months to successfully come back, and making a rereg decreases your chances significantly.

As for your brother getting unbanned, I doubt he would ^^'. He did spam, which is not as worse than flaming and posting porn, but he made multiple threads (like, 53 or something) which did waste the moderators time. More so that it was over several forms so it was annoying to find out where all of the threads were. He also constantly asked to be perma'd before he got perma'd so that makes it even less, or at least that's how I see it...

Then again, I'm not part of the Staff, (used to be though) and if your brother asks nicely and enough time has passed then maybe the staff and mods will let him come back.
