My inactivity for the past few days has mostly been a result of a new job I received. It was quite awful, as I stood around, not having anything to do, projecting myself to mundane tasks like carrying boxes with nuts and bolts and unloading/sorting them, picking up trash off the ground, and stamping metal cylinders for about eight hours. It was quite dull and monotonous. I'm asking this favor of you because I'd like to know if your job is frustrating as well. What is your current job like? Do you like or dislike it? Let it all out. I'm listening.

Just about every job is monotonous. Unless it's something you're passionate about doing, it's going to be dull and frustrating at times. My last job was delivering pizza and that was about as easy a job I ever found. I loved it to be honest. I got to listen to music all day, smoke weed on every run (I was literally allowed to, none of the bosses cared because how well I did the job), and overall the job was easy to accomplish. I miss working there so much. Bringing home cash every day and getting paid over minimum wage per hour, and getting reimbursed for mileage was awesome. There were downsides like competing with other drivers for the good orders, and sometimes being too busy to physically keep up with all the orders, but the good far outweighed the bad.

I used to work in a food processing factory. Kind of the definition of repetitive. Shovel ice for 5 hours. Box chickens (already slaughtered and naked) for 8 hours. Hang frozen chickens up for 4 hours. Stack boxes for 7 hours. Make boxes for 2 hours. Check the weight of boxes for 5 hours. Wait for the conveyor belt to be fixed multiple times a day, causing you to work mandatory overtime. Just the same thing over and over and over and over... It was the worst.

My job 10 hours of slaver. They tell me when I can eat, take a break and go home. And  now they tell me when to piss in a cup. When I thank now I wish I would have stayed in school.

I don't have a job now, never had a real one actually, just a bunch of summer jobs and during those kinds of jobs, doing the tasks that you mentioned were the best because they at least gave you something to do. last summer I worked for a courthouse and most of the time I was doing things like sorting warrants and stuff, I would be given a stack of them and I had to order them by number and then bring them to the shelves and put them in the correct spots.

I did that and a bunch of other small lame tasks, but at least it gave me something to do for the 6.25 hours a day that I was there so the day went by pretty quickly instead of when I would just sit around doing nothing.
