with sweat

The oceans brimming with aquatic life

and trash

The picturesque sky is painted with clouds

of smoke and fumes

The forest resonates with sounds of creatures high and low

running from a raging conflagration

The city is filled with people and technology,

so everybody knows,

but not everybody

seems to care,

and almost nobody

knows what to do

How much time

do we have left?

Is there any hope

for this planet?

How much can we

salvage from this dying world?

No one seems to know
