I didn't know this when I started development on Battle City ( my new RPG game currently being developed ), but it appears a game was released in 1985 of the same name. So, what does that mean for me? Well, the project has to be re-named.

I have already come up with several options for a new name for the game, and I have already decided that "Battle City" will be added as a subtitle ( after asking this same question on my own website ), but the games main name is still up for debate.

So, which one of the listed names should I use? Let me know and thanks!

I would just like to throw this out there. Without a demo or any kind of game description or backstory in this thread, it's really hard to make an educated decision on what your game should be called.

The one I chose was basically a coin flip. If I'm being honest, the choices seemed pretty generic overall.

I chose Battlegamers RPG because I personally suggest saving anything with an extended name (such as "Video Game: some words after a colon) for a sequel if the first is popular enough. Also it's a great name for a mobile game. However if this isn't going to be on mobile, that may not be the best name. There are a decent amount of variables to base it on that I don't know about this game.

And the reason I say Battlegamers RPG is a great name for mobile is because it lists the genre in the title which will catch eyes. It is a little basic though, so keep thinking and maybe something even better will hit you.

Jordanv78 : Good news. There IS a demo of the game available for download ( Demo V1.0 ) on the games website.

Demo V1.1 should be out soon, which does fix a few of the flaws with Demo V1.0 ( including missing animations with certain weapons ).

I will be editing the original post to include some of the games backstory directly from the website.
