Recently I have been doing a lot of questionable things, and all you guys tried to do was see what of wrong with me. I think it's about time I finally confess the truth behind all of this. Even since I came back to vizzed after making that account called "Fear The Great" I held a few grudges against some users I felt insulted me in some a way. Over time it started to eat away at me, and I became very bitter and angry. Eventually I just wanted to start all over again. My ill will even manifested itself at times such as ignoring those who were just trying to help or be nice to me, removing some of my comments around the board, and even disliking others people's comments for little to no reason. I wanted to apologize to y'all for acting the way I did. Especially after you guys went out of your way for me like that. If anyone was ever at fault here, it was me. And jordan, I'm sorry for disliking your comment in my account thread. It was wrong of me to take out my anger on you like that.

I would also like to apologize to you all. I remember disliking your comments. Not because they were bad or anything, but rather I was just feeling so spiteful at the time that I disliked them anyway. I was being a real jerk. I'm really sorry for my actions guys. I hope you can forgive me.

Final Weapon : It takes a lot of courage to admit when you're wrong, so I gotta give you kudos for that. Life is full of choices. You can choose to move on with your life, and take your past mistakes as a  life lesson. Don't shame yourself about it because it won't do any good. Today's a new day. Make the best of it.

plasticinsanity seems to have a good shoulder on her heads, so I like what she has to say. It's very true.

Now, I have to get two things off my own shoulders.

1.  Disliking comments is... not really something worth apologizing over.  At least, not to me.  I used to care about people liking or disliking my posts, giving or taking away trust points, and making milestones.  Then I realized how.... really frivolous and stressful that all was.  Who CARES if everyone dislikes my posts?  If you want to go on a disliking rampage... I invite you... click away on all my posts.    The numbers mean absolutely nothing to me any more, and I much more highly value the interactions with PEOPLE.  There is something you get by talking to others and getting to know them.... that you just can't get even if you kill every milestone in existence.

2.  Secondly... your apology IS necessary, but not for the disliking thing. What's important is that you realized you were being bitter and taking senseless actions. THAT admittance... and the regret you are feeling... is what makes you a bigger person.  Don't beat yourself up over it.  In fact, take pride in the knowledge that you could so openly discuss your faults with us. That's impressive.  It shows us that you know where your moral compass is, and that you've overstepped some boundaries you're not comfortable with.  That's fixable! It's a great attitude.

Thank you for apologizing... for realizing what needs to happen to better yourself.  And thank you for sticking around despite the hard time you're having. Perseverance is gold, even when it's hard.

Plasticinsanity pretty much said everything that was to say. It requires a great deal of courage to admit one's own mistakes, so I must praise you for your acceptance.

While I share some of Singelli's views (I do care about milestones) going on a dislike rampage isn't that bad. It's not like you lose anything of value by having your post disliked. It may sound strange for me, since I have the goal of hitting 500 post rating by the end of this year, but post rating only means how much your post has positively influenced other people and THAT is what matters. Not everybody feeling that positive influence will like your posts and THAT is why this milestone is the one I care less for.

I understand what is to go on a senseless rampage and an apology is needed for such attitude. As I said above, disliking posts isn't a big deal, and there's no need to apologize for it.

Keep the fight on, mate. You know you have us to back you up if you ever need us.

Wow, you have won a lot of respect from me dude! Not only did you acknowledge the people that asked about you, but you also apologized to the people that kinda used to rub you the wrong way. And you did it publicly. You could have easily did it privately, and that itself would have taken a lot of courage, but you did it where everyone can see it. At this point, I think making a new account is pointless, as you have won the respect of a lot of Vizzed users today. I don't know if I would have apologized if I was in your situation, but I certainly wouldn't have did it publicly. You are one brave man!

Hey, I appreciate that you went out of your way to explain what was going on and apologize. Although I'm confused on why you would be mad at me, since all I did was try to help you, it's no worries as I rarely take things like thread comment likes/dislikes personally.

I really appreciate your apology. It takes a big person to admit when they are wrong. ESPECIALLY on the internet. So for that I give you a lot of credit.

This reminds me of the time I got unbanned. I don't even know what you did wrong, but as long as you are sincerely remorseful of your actions, then everyone should be able to forgive you. It may take time to heal, but in the end, it's worth it. I know this from experience.

Great job making up for that I forgive you for doing all those things. Don't let anyone's opinion or insults get to you anymore, I find it much easier to just forgive them and move on. Good luck!

I just happen to stumble on this thread since it was posted on the Board as a "trending" thread.  I just want to say, yaaay, if someone sees the light for what a forum truly is.  Some people pour out their lives here hoping that there's someone who will hear their cries and if no one responds, it feels like your life ends.  Welcome to forum reality.  I do not want to pin a percentage on it, but MANY people on forums in general are not who they say they are anyway - such is life in cyberspace. 




However, you will get one or two people that is true.  Hang on to them, but don't get any hangups.  Be firm with your opinions, but give them with respect and sincerity and back them up with the facts where possible.  Don't "rage quit" like a noob - take criticism "gracefully".  Take a moment.  Take a breath.  Take a break.  Process it.  Come back.  Post.  Never take stuff too personal, unless it's a PM   Finally, if you sincerely give advice or help to someone on a forum - Don't expect anything in return.  Ever.  You will save yourself a world of pain.  Like Singelli said - invest your time in REAL people.

I didn't even know Vizzed had drama in it...I guess it doesn't matter how many, as long there are people in a forum, there will be drama.

Glad this one wrapped up the way it did. Some people will take this kind of situation to the grave like it's even worth it. Most internet drama is not worth the fuss people make of it.

Still, for the whole "starting over clean" thing maybe making this thread wouldn't be a good idea? Maybe PM all these people instead? I'm just saying this because if it weren't for this thread I guess I wouldn't be able to link you to the other account. Although it is granted that I'm not aware of the scale of this drama so maybe you actually need to address everyone, not just the people you mentioned.

Regardless, I wouldn't hold anything against you, I've had a "fight" here before, it didn't last very long, this sort thing happens. It's like the guy I'm replying to said, "never take stuff too personal".

Singelli : I know apologizing for disliking others folks comments didn't really seem to bear much of an significance, but it was something I wanted to get off my mind. By doing so it bought me peace, so I have no regrets. And thank you. I will continue to push forward. Even with all these difficulties I'm experiencing. 'cause now I know that I have people I can rely on.
