I have to say that I find it shocking the games have been around for 20 years.  Time flies, yes... but my goodness, some things make me feel a little old!  I know it must have been released in the US at a later date, because there's no way I sat watching the games over my younger sister's shoulder at 8 or 9 years old. haha!

The games have definitely made a place in the gaming world, whether you like them or not.  Even the inspiration they've set into place is admirable.  I think I'll always maintain at least a tiny bit of interest in Pokemon, although the games don't stray much from generation to generation.  It's just pretty cool to see the creatures that are sparked from some imaginations. Granted, each generation has Pokemon that are less and less impressive, but there always seem to be a few that catch my eye, too.
