Ok, so I'm going to buy an Xbox 360 controller to use on Vizzed. My two options are an actual 360 controller, or an official GAMESTOP controller. What I'm concerned about is I've heard most if not all third party 360 controllers won't work right with emulators and what I'm trying to use it for, and I don't want to spend the money to not even be able to use it. I don't have / use Steam, so that is of no concern to me, I just need it to work for Vizzed and it's emulators. I'm currently running Window's Vista 64-bit OS, but can also update to 7 at any time I would want or need to. Any help and answers are greatly appreciated, as I think I'm starting to get carpal tunnel from using a keyboard for so long. Thank you in advance everyone. This is something I've wanted for a long time and I would like to do it right.

(EDIT.) The reason I ask is the GAMESTOP one is almost $20 dollars cheaper new, and the original 360 one is used, so I just wanted to weigh my options.

I myself use a 360 controller, and so far I haven't had any issues playing any kind of emulators, both here or on my own. I'm using Windows 7 64-bit, and it's an actual 360 controller I'm using.

Mynamescox44 : A 360 controller should work, as long as it's the wired kind. Users tend to have issues trying to plug in a wireless 360 controller through the charge kit, because that wire doesn't actually transfer information. Just power.

If you are looking for a cheap alterantive, I use the Logitech F310 which is basically like a PS Dual Shock controller and costs about 15$usd. Works great with NOT ONLY the Emulators and Roms on Vizzed but also Modern PC games as it allows you to switch between DirecInput and Xinput easily.

Jordanv78 : I apologize for the double post, I think I accidentally double clicked on the "Submit Thread" button when I finished, I was just about to summon someone to close it. Thanks for being so prompt to catch it. And as far as this thread goes, I just found a Microsoft 360 controller with Windows Drivers for $22 on Amazon brand new, so feel free to close this one if you wish. Thanks again ^^

(EDIT) Oh, and congrats on the promotion!!!

Mynamescox44 : No problem at all man. Might not even have been your fault because random site/server hiccups can also cause this issue for people.

Glad to hear the controller situation is resolved for now. Just make sure you purchase the WIRED 360 controller.

I'll close this thread for now. Please feel free to PM myself, or the RGR staff inbox if you have any further questions regarding this issue, or need this thread opened back up.
