I have reached 1000 posts finally!

Heh, geez. I've been active only a couple months longer than you and I don't even have 500 quite yet. You made an average of 500 posts a month at that rate. Not bad. When first joined Acmlm's board (the "mother" board of the type that this one is) back in October of 2003 I managed to make 1000 posts in the first month (28 days). I did that much because I was competing for the monthly posting competition, or ACS or something like that. Back then, many many people were active, about 30 on at any given time, and some were competing for the ACS as well, making around 30-40 posts a day. I was putting out a whopping 60 posts per day average just so I could stay ahead. Needless to say I ended up winning that month by a long shot, but quite a few of my posts were a bit spammy (I was a noob back then with not a whole lot of board experience). I was even warned a couple times about spamming. At 22 years old I felt I needed to post in quality after that (even though I did still end up winning 3 more ACS competition there within 5 months after that).

So while you have that many posts in such a short time I can only guess you were trying to reach some kind of goal, but I could be wrong. Just make sure you keep your posts in good quality and don't be like me 7 years ago when I first joined. So congrats on hitting the 1k. I believe the next milestone that you can post about is 5000, but I think either 2000 or 2500 is marker to. I'll have to look into that. And thank you for bringing that much activity to Vizzed.

On a side note, if you want to do some posting goals you can look at and mimic what I've achieved over the years in a posting/board accomplishment list I made at the bottom of my profile page.

I think his point is that quite a few of your posts seem to be pointless and I agree. A lot of the time when you post you don't say anything new or anything of substance.

You have gotten better compared to your early posting.... but it's still not the best. I probably post half as often as I could. There are plenty of times when I start posting a reply and then stop because I haven't said anything new, or worth saying. Try it out

Somehow I have 0 thumbs now, so I am happy... but I still am not even close to the trusted points I had before, so I am trying to post really well 30-50 words and being on-topic to get trusted again... I will still do the same thing afterwards though...

If this is the first board you've been highly active at then it'll take a bit of time to get used to posting in quality. Most newcomers to boards don't really know how to post, or rather don't know how to achieve the expectations of the boards they post at. Young'ins especially. That's because unlike myself, a lot of people don't really feel like typing out multiple paragraphs. It's so much easier to type just a sentence or two. But that's something I've grown into over the years at different forums. Being one of the oldest members, if not the oldest, at the Acmlm boards I go to I like to set an example for the others, typing up lengthy paragraphs and multitudes of information. If you keep going to boards as the years pass you'll probably start to feel the same way I do. But some of it involves creativity- coming up with things to add to an already fulfilled post.

But that shouldn't be too difficult. All you have to do is think about "why" you have an opinion of something, or go into detail with your explanations about a topic. Stuff like that. The more you do it the more you mold your brain into that behavior. That's why it's easy for to type a lot. Which is also why this post is a bit longer than it really needs to be.
