yoshirulez! : Dude, we have had like.... two converters since then. How do you suppose you were getting those insane Columns scores before I won that $10 Amazon card from the Twitch raffle? And don't forget when we were trying to figure out why it was getting a fuzzy, black and white picture on the really big TV.

If I remember correctly, the earliest console I remember playing was the DS. I was around five or so and I think the game I was playing was Nintendogs: Chihuahua and Friends.

My very first console gaming experience was....the SEGA Genesis. Oh yeah! I'm an old fellow. But the Genesis is what made me into a gamer. Sonic was my virtual friend since I was old enough to play a game. (I am not schizophrenic, I am just expressing how much the character inspires me). And guess what? It still works, and I still play it from time to time.

Its probably not considered a console, but by first gaming system was the Commodore 128 (used in C64 mode).
After that was the NES.

I wonder if my parents still have my C128...

LunarDarkness2 : It was Commodore's attempt to make a business machine.
There weren't a lot of programs written for it, but it was backwards compatible with Commodore 64, so most people (including myself) booted into Commodore 64 mode to use the C64 games/programs.

I am not sure if it loaded faster than the C64, but I felt like it did.

An NES console passed down from a friend of my Father's.  We had like 20 games for it.  I wasn't particularly good at any of them.  But my favorite was, and perhaps will always be Super Mario Bros. 3.  That game holds up remarkably well today.

LunarDarkness2 :   I grew up watching my Dad and my wife's dad playing the Atari 2600.  The first console I actually bought for myself was the Super Nintendo MANY years ago.  With it, I bought Killer Instinct and Doom as my first games.  I grew up with pretty much all systems though, and I loved them all.

LunarDarkness2 : If I remember correctly, my first console was the Game Boy Advance (my parents didn't let me get the Game Boy Colour, so I missed out on some Pokémon-related awesomeness for a while T-T). However, I DID have the Game Boy Advance before all of my friends. XD It was eventually traded up for a more durable SP. The Advance broke or the buttons became less responsive quite quickly for a lot of people, even if it wasn't being knocked about. I think my first games were Super Mario Advance and Krazy Racers. Ah... We were easily amused in those days... '

LunarDarkness2 : Intellivision. I loved playing football on that console, but otherwise I didn't play it that much. The first console I played really a lot was Nintendo Entertainment System. And funny thing about that is I started playing it because I saw a Dragon Warrior commercial on TV and told my mom I had to have that game, so I saved up and bought an NES and Dragon Warrior when it first came out.

Did the game eventually meet your expectations or was the money all a waste? :p

Also, is that the only game you played on the NES?

LunarDarkness2 : It exceeded my expectations, and as for the games I played on NES, Super Mario/Duck Hunt, Super Mario 2, Super Mario 3, Double Dribble, Castlevania 1,2, and 3, Gyruss, Mario Bros. , Joust, Final Fantasy, Gauntlet, Bases Loaded, River City Ransom, Crystalis, Willow, Zelda 1 and 2, Ultima(only the original), Wizards and Warriors, Dragon Warrior 1, 2, 3, and 4, Wizadry(the original), Ikari Warriors, 1942, Punch-Out, Magic of Scherezade, Mega Man 1 , 2, and 3 and others I've probably forgotten by now. But besides SNES, this system gave me some great memories.

The very first handheld I played and owned, was a Game Boy Color. I was around 6-ish at the time. The only game it had was Pokemon Gold. I remember playing it all the time. And I remember long wait times in between batteries. I think we eventually got some rechargeable batteries. I absolutely loved that thing. In fact, it helped me a lot in the process of learning English, so there's that. That was until 2 years later when my little brother had given it to a friend of his that moved away from the neighborhood.

The first real console I ever had was the Nintendo 64. I had played the NES before, but the first console I owned was a Nintendo 64. If I remember correctly, I was 8-9, and I had Mario 64, Mario Party, and another game which I actually don't recall. Again, I played it all the time.
