Up until now I was only a small fan of Call of Duty games. I said multiple times I liked Battlefield more, and I was still a bit suspicious about those games, but Black Ops 3 changed everything for me. When I first got my PS4, I wanted to finally try out one of the newer ones and see if I could get into it. I debated between getting Advanced Warfare and Ghosts, and in the end, I got this game and I'm not regretting it. The game has so many cool features that make it really fun such as all the new specialists and the whole wall running and thrust jumping techniques which make it more of a different game while keeping it as the same FPS game.

GRAPHICS 10/10

The graphics are just beautiful, especially when you are playing the game on a PS4, which only makes it even better. I was playing BO2 on my friends PS3 for a while after playing Fallout 4 on the PS4 and I couldn't stand the way it looked. It wasn't the game, I was going from the PS4 to the PS3 was sickening. The BO3 graphics on PS4 are just stunning. Heck when I turn the game on and I'm at the part when I have to press X to get to the menu, just that part alone gets me every time because its so clear and every particle is amazing. The animations and movements are great as well, whether its something big like wall running or something like opening a case, it's so clear, smooth, and insanely detailed. Just look at Nuketown, you have those energy things that are floating above the vehicles in the middle, it's great to look at. This is without a doubt one of the best graphics that I have ever seen in a video game which means that for a grade, it gets a perfect 10 out of 10.

SOUND 8/10

The sound is both good and bad, but for the most part it works well. For the music, I feel that it sucked. The composer worked on BO2 as well, but I feel the game could have sounded a lot better bringing back the composers from previous games because I really disliked the soundtrack, if there even was one to be liked. I have heard some of the songs from earlier ones and liked them, but for this one, I can be 100 times better. For the voices, those are good, especially good actually. One of my favorites is how each specialist has their own phrases that they say if they win a match and I think that's a cool features, plus you have all the standard voice acting as well. When it comes to the regular sounds, it's great. There's the sounds of bullets and explosions, and all sorts of others. I scared myself way too many times because of a sound which means you are playing the game the right way. If the music was better, then this aspect would have been at the top, but overall, it's good and will get an 8 out of 10.

ADDICTIVENESS 10/10

The game is so much fun. I'm usually pretty bad at FPS games but I didn't care, I played multiplayer for like 30 hours already and had a blast. Just multiplayer alone has some awesome features that will make you want to play if you like these kinds of games, such as the specialists and the cool Black Market which I really like because it makes me think of the whole weapons market system in CS:GO. Even if you don't play online, there's still so many things for you to do such as the campaign. You have two different versions of that which make it twice as fun and like in all BO games, you have zombie modes! But wait there's more. You have a free run mode which is like a parkour obstacle course and you also have am arena which is for ranked matches so there's always something to do that will keep you entertained. This is actually the only PS4 game I played in the last month because I had so much fun, and the grade for this aspect will be another perfect 10 out of 10.

STORY 8/10

The story, I feel, I awesome and big. The basis of what's going on is that technology has advances to the point where you have robots, and sweet suits and gear. I'm not going to say much about the campaign so I don't spoil it but ill say it does have some cool features, oh and it stars Christopher Meloni, one of the coolest actors of our time. In addition to the regular campaign, there's a nightmare campaign which is pretty much the exact same thing aside for a few plot changes and ZOMBIES! Oh and speaking of zombies, there's a cool zombie mode, as well as some other new zombie features. Its not that the story is any better than it would have been in a previous game, its just that there's so much more and that makes it really good. As for a grade, it gets an 8 out of 10.

DEPTH 10/10

Just look at the assortment of weapons that you can choose from. There's like 5 different classes of weapon for both primary and secondary spots with about 5 different weapons in each one. You have a bunch of attachments for each one, and literally dozens of various camos and skins that you can unlock for each one. Beyond that, you also have various grenades and perks. Then you have your actual character, there's about a dozen different specialists for you to unlock and master, and each one has two different special moves, and using each special move over and over unlocks even more stuff. Next up you have the maps, about a dozen hugs ones in total and more on the way through DLC, and the massive assortment of game modes not to mention a multiplayer that can easily take up more than a hundred hours of your life. There's so much to the game, and for that, the depth aspect gets another perfect 10 out of 10.

DIFFICULTY 7

If you aren't already good at these kinds of games, then it can start off by being really difficult for you. It took me about 10 hours of playing online and about 30 plus matches before I was able to go two straight matches with a 1.00 Kill Death Ratio. it's that easy to die in such a game and it's even easier to not kill anyone. You need to have amazing reflexes, and be quick, or else in a standoff with someone on the other team, you will be the one to die. So basically, you need to have the right gun, and you need to know everything about your controller, and on top of that you also need to be 100% cautious about your environment and suspicious that every little thing in the game is trying to kill you. That's the only way you will survive. If you are already good at FPS games, then you are one of the lucky ones, but if you aren't already good, then a game such as this one can be very tough. However, just because it's hard and you keep dying doesn't mean it's not fun. Overall for difficulty, this game gets a 7.

OVERALL 9.6/10

Overall, this is easily one of the best FPS games I have ever played. In fact, it would be interchangeable with CG:GO for the top spot because I like it that much. if you are already a fan of the series, then you probably already played the game, love it, and agree with me on how awesome it is. If you are a fan of FPS games, but not Call of Duty, I'm sure that if you gave it a chance, all the new stuff would make you see that it can be good. If you don't like FPS games, then you really are missing out on a lot with this game and should reconsider your life choices eventually. Overall, I love the game and my grade for it is going to be a 9.6 out of 10.

Makes sense that you weren't a fan of past COD games, but liked this one.

My interest in FPS games overall has waned over the years. I just don't find them as exciting as I once did, but I do like to play them once in a blue moon.

I actually played the Demo of this game when it was available for Steam, and the only thing I came away with was the fact that I found it weird that a COD game was trying so hard to be like Halo, when for years, they were trying to be the exact opposite.

I will say that I haven't had the chance to play the full released game yet, but the graphics weren't really anything that jumped out at me, and that's even with me playing near the highest graphics settings on my gaming desktop.

Jordanv78 : I don't think I was much of a fan of all the "reality" they portrayed in the game, especially the historical stuff and then once I saw all these high tech stuff, I just had to jump on it and it was worth it. I don't think the game would look as intense on a PC as it would on a PS4 and TV where you could see every little detail.

zanderlex : I play games on a 50inch 4k monitor along with my PC, which most certainly would drive circles around the hardware in a PS4, so I am confused by your statement regarding hardware.

With regards to the game itself. To each their own. Just that If I wanted to play a Halo clone, I would just play Halo. Just weird that the series has gone full-circle. I'm assuming it's because they have been grinding out these games each year for the past 10 or so years, that they are running out of ideas.

Jordanv78 : Well they could have been running out of ideas, I know I wouldn't want to keep cranking out games that were based in that time period, and even for games based in modern times, if I wanted that I could have just played any other FPS like Battlefield, so they just tried to do something that the majority of FPS games weren't doing, without having to recycle their own stuff again.
