Any help with this? I can't seem to use the directional buttons or the pad on my XBOX One controller when I'm playing PC games. I noticed this a while ago when I was playing CS:GO but it randomlly fixed itself after a while but it's happening again now and I don't know what to do about it. The rest of the controller works fine, the triggers and other buttons all work, it's just the buttons and pad on the left side that won't work. Any ideas on how to fix this?

EDIT: All the movement buttons and triggers don't seem to work.

Are you sure you're not plugging in the controller after starting the game? You have to have the controller recognized before the game starts, otherwise you'll most likely not be able to use it at all.

Other than that, I'm not really sure how to fix the problem. I'm sure you have, but just in case, have you bothered to look it up on CS:GO forums? It's possible that the controller just only has partial support to begin with.

zanderlex : I was just asking questions. I know about as much about this as you do, honestly. And I was more referring to your edit comment on it all not working. It's possible the driver might have screwed up. You can either try to find and reinstall the driver or try to restart your computer, and then try to reinstall if it still isn't working. That's about the only answer I have, unfortunately.

I don't really use a controller to play CSGO, but at one point I used a PS4 controller and played it through that. I had to set everything to default and clear all key bindings to get it properly working. Though I never tried an Xbox One controller.

A few games don't actually work with a controller. You shouldn't even be able to access CSGO on your PC with a controller. I know there is a list somewhere that has the compatibility for every single game you own, I'll start looking for it for you.

I've had this happen before with certain games on Steam before. Most recently/notably Ducktales Remastered. Although it TECHNICALLY said it supported controllers, there was a weird problem with Logitec Controllers in particular that was causing the game to basically be unplayable. Maybe this is the type of thing you are going through.

I would suggest using a mapping/diagnostic program to make sure all of your buttons are in fact being read by the drivers..Does this controller work fine when using it on your XOne?
