Postman3 : well, unfortunately for google, i have adblock plus. ads are a blight upon the internet (and if you have an ISP with a bandwidth cap then a big chunk of that capped bandwidth goes straight to loading/streaming ads so such people are pretty much paying for people to make money off of them.).

on topic: if i had a nickel for every time website owner chose to spew out MORE ads instead of looking for alternative revenue options as a reaction to users choosing to use adblockers and take back control of they're internet browsing experience, i'd be fairly rich.

so sad, the internet was made for the sharing of information yet the greedy believe it was made only to profit from others using it.to those relying on ad revenue: more and more ads aren't a solution as it'll push more people to use adblockers thus perpetuating the problematic cycle.

treos :   Nope, not unfortunate for Google at all. They get paid just for providing ad space. The statistic of unique users using their services is really what gets ad campaigners excited. It's not the clicks that they keep a tally of that prompts companies to buy ad space. Google will get paid regardless of what you do. So why not just use the best search engine anyway?

 Seriously, if I got paid a nickel for every time that I was forced to hang out with a person of severely limited intellect I'd be significantly richer. Sadly, my parents were convinced I had a minor learning disability and I was taken to spend time in government funded programs with exceedingly dim-witted simpletons. I prayed the Conservative government would slash funding for such useless programs. They did with some of the more useless ones eventually. Now that we've got Liberals at the helm of our federal governance, I can only hope the idiot new to the PM job doesn't decide it's a good idea to reinstate them. For the sake of humanity! NO! (Actually, I couldn't tell you how often he gets high so it may be a possibility.)

 If I had a nickel for every time the term "verbal" was bandied about when the people saying it specifically meant "vocal", I'd have trillions of dollars. Vocal can also mean the voice was used but words were not but somehow the knuckle-draggers still say "verbal" in that instance. "Verbal" refers to the use of words. I'm being verbal just by typing this. A simple Google search will set you straight.

Why must I live among such willful and pervasive ignorance of the language we speak? The keys to our language are fully accessible by typing keystrokes into our online devices but we still mostly just use our machines for other stuff that turns out useless in the long run.

This is an easy one, if I had a nickel for every time someone cut my Buick Century off I'd be counting out the stacks after every trip I took.  It seems even if you're going above the speed limit if the car your in is perceived to be a slow car as a general rule people will go to great lengths to cut you off.

If I had a nickle for every time someon reposts a verbatim claim about being a game developer that saw the NX in action and everyone bought it (or for every PS4.5/PS4k rumor), I'd have more money than zander has Viz.

If I had a nickel for every second, heck every hour I've spent not being able to make up my mind about something, I wouldn't need anymore money for the rest of my life. The problem is, what would I do once I had all that money? Invest it, bank it, spend some... I should invest some, for sake keeping. But the costs of all that would stack up. Not to mention other things I may not be taking into consideration... I should generate some way of making additional income, just in case... In case of what though? Ah!!! I just can't decide!! XD
