hey should i use Vahn or Noa as a healer?

hellno163 : There are actually a couple of things to consider based on your play style.

Obviously, each of them have their own strengths and weaknesses in the spells department, but if you pay close enough attention you'll notice that Vahn's earth spells are stronger than the others, and Gala is strongest with Aluru (the only light damage spell).  This implies that they all have secondary spell strengths as well, and they do.
All of that to say that if you are looking to have your heals be as effective as possible numbers-wise, Gala is your main healer since his are going to be more effective than the others.
The argument for Noa is that she deals the least damage and she almost always goes first, but she also has the lowest MP, so to rely on just her is to almost require supplemental items.  That said, if you're up against a boss who just dealt some massive damage that you weren't expecting, lead with a heal from her.
It really comes down to timing vs effectiveness as to who you have healing.  The great thing about this game is that any of the three can fill any role based on the situation, but it also poses questions like this.
Hopefully this helped more than it rambled, but I would actually try to avoid having a "dedicated healer" on this one, if possible.  There are so many times when the healing is both reactionary (Noa) and supplemental in the same turn just to avoid the red-zone.

Ahh i forgot about this game! soooo good. if i remember correctly, Vahn was always one of my main heavy-hitters. i used him for dealing massive damage and rarely healing. i know that isnt as helpful as the other post haha, but im new to the site and mostly wanted to thank you for reminding me of the game! adding it to my long list of classics to play
