Daily Fantasy Sports Shut Down in New York

Today, a New York Attorney General sent a letter to both DraftKings and Fan Duel ordering them to shut down in New York because it's illegal gambling.

This is just in New York right now, but eventually other states may follow this after seeing what has gone on here and try to completley erase most of the Daily Fantasy Sports lifestyle.

I personally think this is ridicoulous. Aside for being quicker, how is Daily Fantasy Sports any different than regular fantasy sports? So if they are going to do this to places like this, then what's to say the government won't start going after big season long fantasy sites that involve money and try to stop them as well?

It's not even gambling, these kinds of games are just that, games, or its own sport and isn't even based on full luck more so than skill and common sense.

I gotta say, although Daily fantasy can be fun as a fan and an for avid fantasy players, but overall I'll just be happy if these legal battles mean that we see less advertising for both sites. I mean every time I turned around I was being bombarded with ads for Fanduel and Draft kings no matter which sport or channel I was watching. Just can't take it anymore lol
