So, this is actually a thing. There is even a trailer for it and everything. It appears to be based off of the original game timeline involving the initial orc invasion of Azeroth. I'm pretty excited honestly. I'd love to see movies covering all 3 games (and expansions). Maybe even more than that since there are plenty of novels that cover some of the time in and around the game timelines. I'm not too picky as long as the movies stick overall to the storylines that already exist. I don't really want a brand new story when there is so much that hasn't been put into movies yet.

They have been talking about making this movie for years and have hinted at it occasionally over the years. Now that there's actual trailers, I'm pretty excited. Looks really awesome.

As someone who loved Warcaft as well as played WoW for 5-6 years pretty hardcore I'm pretty excited to see how it turns out. Even more excited when I realized the guy that plays Ragnar in Vikings (One of my favorite shows) is the main star of this movie

yeah, I'm actually glad they waited this long to do it. It means that there is a lot of experience with the special effects and what not to do this properly. Imagine this done 10 years ago with the CGI we had then.... it wouldn't look half as good.


And hopefully since the entire Warcraft world has been fleshed out so much in the last 10 years with World of Warcraft I'm hoping this movie spawns a few that tell multiple stories that we know about.
