I don't think I did anything to make this pop up when I tried to load my state, can this be fixed or am I going to have to start over, is there anywhere in a file I can find my save state?

If you updated recently, it may have caused your save to no longer be compatible with the newest version of VBA.

Unfortunately, you probably will have to start over.
Personally,I prefer MEDNAFEN as it seems to handle save states better across versions. I would recommend you use that instead if/when you start over.
