I've gone about a month since my old mouse burned out, and today my new one came in the mail and I've forgotten how amazing having a mouse for a laptop feels. ;u; I'm so excited to be able to play steam games again, too, and it's wireless so less hassle with the cords. Truly, the best feeling in the entire world. :')

I can relate to this because I got a mouse for my new laptop and it was horrible. The scroll wheel scrolled really strangely (it didn't click properly or something) so it always scrolled differently than I wanted it to.

I've since gotten a different one (the same kind my wife got during the first mouse purchase) and now I'm happy with my mouse again. I got a different color though so we don't fix them up

When I still Had a laptop, having a wireless mouse was great. It sucks having to use the on laptop mouse xD ... and a wireless mouse is sooo much easier!  Right now I use a gaming mouse for my desktop ... it changes different colors :3

I actually have a gaming mouse myself (the Logitech G700s rechargeable, to be precise). Oddly enough, though, I use all of the macro keys on it to help me use my browser faster (tab switching, back/forward, open/close/re-open last closed tab, minimize).

It sounds like so much of a waste of a gaming mouse, I know. Even though it comes out of my mouth, I think that sounds kind of dumb. But hey, it works, I guess.

I guess I'm old school. I've always hated the touch pad mouses on Laptops. Never could get them to do the things I can easily do with a mouse. I couldn't imagine trying to play a game with that.

I feel ya though. A good mouse is gold.

Bintsy :

I used to have a regular, mini mouse that my college gave me that changed neon colors. It was so pretty. But a lost it and had to buy this one. I miss it, but wireless makes things so much easier. ;u;

SWTerra :

Hey man, whatever works honestly. I actually never heard of a mouse designed specifically for gaming until this thread. So I'm gonna look into it. I also would probably use mine or that too because I am super lazy.

Jordanv78 :

I hate using the touchpad mouse on laptops, especially for gaming. I used to have Minecraft installed, and you can set it up to use one, right? Yeah, no. I still hated it. I've been without my Steam games for so long, craving Morrowind and Skyrim. And my boyfriend bought me Undertale and The Witcher 2 early for my birthday... I couldn't play it. ;-; It just sat there and all I could do was stare. True first world struggles...

writingwolves : Well, it's not so much being lazy, as it is being that much faster with multitasking business, and more efficient. Plus, this work laptop isn't gonna be playing any heavy games any time soon.

I know the feeling of work laptops. I use the one my school gave me 2 years ago, and I'm honestly surprised I can even run my Skyrim game haha ;-;.

writingwolves : That might change from next semester onward. I'm considering bringing my full-tower gaming desktop up into my dorm. I have a general idea of the layout, but I'd have to prepare the space in advance.

SWTerra :

I've been in a dorm before. I stayed with my boyfriend for a week (was supposed to go home but got sick) in his dorm, and if your desk is as big as his with as much leg room underneath, you should have enough room for a desktop. As long as you don't expect to fit dual monitors or anything like that, you should be alright if your dorm is set up anything like his was and the desk is as big.

writingwolves : I'm well aware I can fit it now. I wasn't thinking I could before getting here.

Heck, if I really wanted to at some point, I could totally pull dual monitors with the space I have with my desk, as long as they aren't too big.
