All through the month of December I will be reviewing various games from just about every console on this site. From the arcade to the Saturn no game is off limits. Unless of course I have already reviewed it. I only have a few rules that must be followed: First the games must be in English. Secondly no hacks or home brews. If a game has a fan made English translation that's fine. Thirdly no sports titles. That means no hockey, golf, basketball, baseball, wrestling, or any other type of sports related game. Why no to sports? Well mainly due to the fact that year after year no matter how old they are they always remain the same. Lastly it has to be games from the gaming systems made available to play on the site. That means no games from the PS2 all the way to the Xbone seeing as i don't have access to them.

   Now what i need help from the community is suggestions on what games I should play and review. Keep in mind it has to be from the 8 bit to early 3D era. That means no Steam games at all mainly due to the fact that I do have Steam (Harley365 is what i go by on Steam) but will never use this site to review Steam games. One final thing please do not suggest I should play games based on Nick Jr. shows like Dora or Blue's Clues. Also no Sesame Street games either. Please get your suggestions in so I can start making a list.

I'm curious if you, or anyone, knows of a way to check which games don't have reviews for them yet. That might be a great way to pick games. I'm not familiar enough with the RGR to know if it is possible to search that but maybe someone else does. Might not hurt to ask an RGR staff member to see if they know.

I would prefer to get reviews for games that don't have them than to get another review for really popular games that already have multiple reviews. That makes the most sense to me.

geeogree : We have several staff members working on that, it wouldn't hurt for a normal user to improve his/her writing skills by attempting any game regardless of having featured reviews or not.

There is a command on the RGR, called Game Browser, which does allow to see which games have been reviewed lately. I'm checking it right now, but is seemingly broken, since only a handful results appear. There's also the Game of Day/Week, accessible through the same Game Browser command, which uses featured reviews to select from, and that list seems to be more complete. The only open question is if non-staff users have access to this command, as I noticed it after the new layout was placed.

huntra1291 : I didn't completely understand your requirements. First you say any console on this site, but then you specify it must be at most from the 16 bit era, and the Saturn and arcade are well over that era. Could you please make this more clear for future readers?

EX Palen : yeah, I just figured that would be the best place to start if he was looking for games to review. Better to stick to those than review others for the 10th time.


huntra1291 : well, if you are able to easily see if a game has been reviewed then use that as a way to narrow down games. Then at least you are going to be contributing more significantly to Vizzed than simply by reviewing popular games.

geeogree : Right. On here I try to review games that have none or rent well known. Lately though I have reviewed ,ore well know games cause I wanted to give my thoughts on them.
