Does anyone know if a xbox 360 wireless controller can be setup to my computer? I know it seems like an odd request, but my wired got chewed up by my puppy, and I just cannot play without a gamepad! Any help would be super loved, thanks! Also, can a older emachine computer even run most games on vizzed? If not...then I may as well give up I guess.

I doubt a wireless would work unless its specifically made to also play on PC, which it would say. Or else you need to get a micro USB to connect it to the PC, again, depends on the kind of wireless controller. Some might have a usb slot that works with computers while some might not.

But for the most part a wireless controller will need a regular USB.

There are ways to get the wireless function to work on your computer if you have a bluetooth receiver for it. Although sadly, the charge plug adapter does not transfer any information and won't work right to try plugging into your PC that way.

There are several youtube videos that explains how to get a xbox360 controller running on pc:
you also need the tool JoyToKey or the Xpadder to get the Key's of the controller running correctly.

In short, you need a wireless receiver for your wireless 360 controller (http://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-Xbox-Wireless-Receiver-Windows/dp/B000HZFCT2). That will work on XP and up. And if Vizzed worked on your machine before, I don't see why it wouldn't work now.

Protip: Don't leave anything where your dogs can get it.

EDIT: Now that I think of it, if only the cord was chewed (the controller is fine), you could use some wire strippers and some electrical tape to connect the controller to a male USB (the one on the breakaway cord will work if it isn't damaged) and it should work fine. Just connect like colors together, and ignore how ghetto your controller looks afterward.

Yes, I have explored this myself. You will need a wireless adapter or a wired adapter for it however. Otherwise it is not possible. Be sure to make sure you get an actual adapter and not just a charger cord however.

Local Mods : Does this need to be a thing anymore?

manicman66 : What do you think?
