The new Star Wars Battlefront game will be out in just a few weeks, a few weeks before the movie, and it looks pretty cool. I haven't played a Star Wats game in many years, but if the conditions are right, I do plan on getting this, though I don't like the idea that it's just multiplayer.

What are your thoughts on the game? Do you think it's worth it after the last few Star Wars games and what happened to them?

I think that it will end up being a good game. Perfect? No, but few games really are. People are knocking it for being a Star Wars reskin of Battlefield, which I can understand, and they're not totally wrong. I still think it will be an awesome game, as the graphics are beautiful, and it really does look like a Star Wars movie. However, I rarely buy games at full price, so I am most likely going to wait until a sale of some sort to buy it. Any game for $60 is a lot.

I have never played any of the battlefield series and heard many things on how it will be a battlefield reskin. After downloading and trying the beta, I can honestly say the visuals, music and gameplay made me feel like a kid again playing battlefront 2. The multiplayer only hit me but I ignored it. The first map I played was the Battle of Hoth.  I began to play the map and it felt amazing. The sounds of blaster shooting, the heavy sound of the metal At-At walking,  sounds of Star Wars music playing, and the sounds of rebel and empire ships flying by made the me feel like I was in Hoth. The Rebel side is at a disadvantage and Empire have the upper hand(like the movie) and it felt amazing seeing how DICE made the game felt like you were in the movies. On a scale of 1 through 10. I would say it is better than most previous games and brings a fresh new feeling to the Battlefront series. I recommend getting the game on how it is. Maybe it is just nostalgia but I feel in love with the game and will be getting the game once it comes out.

If I were more into gaming I definitely would. Star Wars is an awesome universe, and being a part of it would be a geek's dream come true .

Ahh...I have this annoying routine with shooter games: I hate them, then I see one that looks cool so I buy it...and I hate it every bit as much as every other shooter. lol But I keep reminding myself, Winback is a shooter but it manages to be one of my all time favorite games, so it stands to reason that if I try enough, one day I'll find another shooter that I like. Maybe. I have much the same routine with Sonic games, but I digress.

I couldn't have cared less about this game until I saw it at E3, then I actually thought looked really cool.

Later gameplay showed me that it was actually a shooter rather than allowing for multiple forms of combat (lightsaber? No?) which really disappointed me. And multiplayer only? An MMO , which is another thing I hate. Plus each clip I watch makes it feel more and more like every other generic FPS out there today, only this one comes with pre-installed Star Wars DLC.

So yeah, long story short I'll probably try it out at some point, and I'll probably hate it and kick myself for buying yet another disappointing shooter.

One day though...... xD

If I had a next gen console I definitely would be.
