Maybe and maybe not, but being a fan of this team since I was 3, I know the nuances, and they are more of a psych job right now than a team. Yes, they get Dez back after the bye, I believe. But the defense can't do it all and Weeden from the looks of it isn't as good as I thought he could be. He has to somehow get the ball down the field or else CBs will have a field day every week and stop these check downs.  Even if it's incomplete, he has sent a message that he is not afraid to throw it down the field, and that in turn makes the safeties back up which opens the run game. Thing is, once Dez and Tony went down, they have been a mess mentally. It's like without these guys, they are scared of everyone, and you won't win many games with that attitude.

Weeden is horrible. Kinda surprised that you expected more from him. There's a reason why he was almost out of the NFL entirely.

Hopefully getting Dez back at some point and the move to Cassel will help them get a little more passing offense going on and even the team out a little bit. It's always the worst thing in the world though, generally, when an NFL team has to go to their backup due to injury. Rarely do the backups come in and do well.

Still, with the way the NFC East is, the Cowboys could get healthy and still have a legit shot at the playoffs.
