So before I start I wanted to apologize if there is already a post about this but I didn't see it. Anyway does anyone know how to change the controls in GBA games specifically Pokémon Fire Red? I've already tried double clicking and changing it like that but it wouldn't change for me, I'm trying to change the walking from the arrow keys to WASD but it wasn't working and I would just suck it up but my up arrow key doesn't work so is there anyway to fix this? (sorry for rambling on so much)

I don't know why it's not working for you but when I changed the A button (Z) to (M) it worked. So I don't know what's going on with this . (Yep , I changed it and loaded the game again to make sure it'll work). Also make sure that you've changed the L & R buttons (A & S) to another like
L button - G
R button - J

constructo : You should be able to use the Mendafen emulator to change controls if you are having issues with VBA. Although the issue here is that your save files won't be available and you will have to start over if you use the other emulator.
