At the moment I feel like there is no one at all I can really talk to. Outside of the internet and home I have a less than ideal social life. Even at home it's merely one problem after another. It's at the point where I am ready to shut every out and simply leave home the first chance I get.

No one seems to think the way I do, and if my family is supposed to be the best and truest friends I have, I don't think I want to even begin to know the people outside of my family. It seems like all that will happen is we'll irritate one another. And that is definitely not what I want. Y'know, not a big fan of being irritated.

I can work with a more professional or productive relationship, but not this.

In the end this isn't at all what I want though. I simply want to happily and peacefully coexist with people and the world. Is that too much to ask? Probably.

I'm in the same boat as you. I generally isolate myself, because all my non-annoying friends are in Vancouver, and I'm on Vancouver Island. It takes 4 hours to reach them...

I love my family, but they can annoy me.

You know what I did? I didn't do so hot until I moved out... and now it's so much easier. So, hang in there until you can move out.

Speaking from experience, just because someone is related to you, does not mean that you can always depend on them to be there for you when you need them most. I've had to separate myself from a lot of my family over the years, just because they were abusive in one way or another, drama filled, or just generally selfish in a lot of ways. So just because they are related to you by blood, doesn't mean that you should just blindly put up with their crud.

I know that the tendency when you are depressed, is to isolate yourself, but I encourage you to try to avoid doing so. I'm sure you have a friend or two that you can count on and I encourage you to do so. At the very least I encourage you to talk to some of your online friends if you feel like you can trust them because it does help to talk about these things and get stuff off your chest.
