I got the book The Alchemist for christmas and I'm honestly super hyped about it. Its main message from what I know is about pursuing your dreams no matter what and trying to make them into reality. It also has a big thing about the perspective of life.

Well the book I was reading was “the very hungry caterpillar” to my niece tho it was like a week or so ago. The suspense and thrill of reading that book made me want to go back and be sucked in (not really)

Well if I have to go to bed before I'm' tired I might as well continue reading something that I had been meaning to finish. I had been reading a LIFE Magazine Yearbook for the year 1998. Got it second hand, I got it because my grandparents owned a copy forever ago, I don't know why they owned one though but whatever I always thought of it as a good read.

I've been reading a lot of manga lately since I got my Kindle and loaded more than 1000 volumes to it. I wanted to start watching the Toradora anime but I didn't want to watch and then not end up liking it so before I went to bed last night, I read the first two volumes of the manga and so far I'm liking it.

I'm reading a book about brain development for one of my college classes. It's kind of interesting but just a lot to take in at once.

About 200 pages which isn't too bad but it's absolutely jammed full of difficult terms and stuff.

Sometimes I think I'm too stupid to be reading something like that anyway.

Earlier today my grandma handed me this book she was reading because it said something about diabetics but after I read it I pointed out it was about type 2 diabetics and I'm type 1 and she was like oh right oh well it would probably work on you too, so with that I instantly stopped reading the book.

I'm catching up on some manga that I was reading up until a few weeks ago. I have a lot of spare time this next week and a half so might as well. There is also the drivers license book manual thing that I should probably get to as that was my goal for 2022 but we're still so early into the year.

Ideally I'll go have my driving classes and test during late spring/early summer. Then I'll be able to ride around like a badass in the movies. Still prefer the train for straight forward directions but a car is a little handier to get to some remote places so it has its upsides.

If my history in the bumper cars is anything to go by, I'll be the safest driver in the west on the road

For the last week or so, I've been reading the Welcome to Demon School and Toradora manga while at work. I'd have my Kindle open at my table and read as much as I could when possible. I've been pretty far into the anime for both and I wanted to see what kind of changes there were between the manga and anime so I read a little bit of each.

I'm finally on the last two volumes of the demon slayer manga, and I've never been more excited to finish a manga before. I got bored of waiting for Mugen train and season 2 to come out so I finally just decided to read through it, and my god I'm glad I did. it's phenomenal and I've enjoyed every panel and chapter. I think I liked re-reading the beginning rather than watching it, because you can't copy and paste the manga onto the anime no matter how hard you try.

I will admit the anime is more colourful and pretty, but even in black and white the manga still felt like it had more color in some points.

When I went to McNally Robinson today, I actually took a peek at the modern graphic novel adaptations of The Secret Garden and Anne of Green Gables. Known as the Secret Garden on 81s Street and Anne of West Philly. I think these are a good idea I think there should be more of these, I kind of wish that these came to be when I was a younger reader

I don’t know if this counts… but I was reading the manual of sonic R for the Sega Saturn. It’s been a while since I read an old manual from a game and boy do I miss these. A relic from the past

I've been reading my year in review issues again I want to finish LIFE 1994 today at least, I am hoping to repair the People 1995 year in review book this week otherwise I will have to seriously consider putting it in a binder or something because I want to keep on reading it at least until I can replace it, but the year in reviews from the 90s are getting rarer and rarer to find and that kind of upsets me

I've been reading a lot of manga over the last two days, especially since I've spent close to three hours travelling on the train and bus today and didn't have much else to do. The one that I've been reading mostly is the original Yu-Gi-Oh manga, in which I read two volumes this morning. I've also been reading the Combatants Will Be Dispatched Light Novel.

Rather recently I got into books again after years so it's been fun rediscovering my tastes in books and seeing how much they've changed. I Just finished On Earth We're briefly gorgeous by Ocean Vuong which even the name alone shows you the mastery he has over the English language I'd say out of his books this is probably my favourite one of his overall while in terms of his dedicated poetry books I think I prefer night sky with exit wounds over time is a mother even though they're both great and I'd recommend all his works throughly. Now in contrast I'm reading the last children of Tokyo by yoko tawada because I also got into translated fiction recently and have been really enjoying it, she's made my least favourite book so far which is called scattered all over the Earth so now I want to see if its just her writing I hate or thar book specifically out of curiosity it's not a long read so I might even be able to finish it today who knows.

I last was reading The Da Vinci Code at the local library cause my mom had a coupon to get a free book and I had to decide which book I was going to get for her so I was trying to find something she would be interested in I've never heard of the da vinci code before but apparently it was made into a movie but I hope my mom still finds the book enjoyable.

I'm about 200 pages into Where the Crawdads Sing. I bought it after the movie came out since everyone I talked to wouldn't shut up about it, but didn't start reading it until recently. Admittedly, the book is pretty good. I'm slightly over halfway done, and am looking forward to finding out how it resolves. Maybe I'll watch the movie soon to see how they compare, but I don't have high hopes based on the ratings and reviews it received.

Right now I'm reading The Eminence In Shadow light novel. I really liked the anime and throughout November Crunchyroll was doing a bunch of giveaways to promote the mobile game that they were developing. I entered all of them and the one that I actually won was for the first three volumes of both the light novel and the manga. I figured that since I have them, I might as well read them, and I'm enjoying them so far.
