well two days from now (but likely tomorrow evening) I will be doing my Summer Magazine reading for the last time this year (after that I read those year in review books one more time before I debate with myself over which of the big history books I should read, I can be a heavy reader when I'm not a heavy gamer)

I have been reading my very own book. For the past 2 years I have been working on my very own book. I got it completed in June of this year. However, I'm having to read my own book to proofread it and make sure I have everything right. My next project will be to try to get it published.

So, I've just finished reading The Guns of The South, by Harry Turtledove, it's a great alternate history novel that I really recommend for any lovers of the genre. And now, I've started scouring the Internet Archive for random old books that seem interesting to me. I started reading a book from the early 19th century on how to identify counterfeited food. It's really silly reading it today, but also quite entertaining.

I'm on a bit of fantasy kick right now. I recently finished the Hobbit since the last time I read it was an eternity ago, and I loved it.

I fully intend to read Lord of the Rings, which I've never read, but until I decide to buy a nice edition of the trilogy, I started reading the Stormlight Archive series by Sanderson since a number of people have recommended it to me. I'm not far in, but I'm liking it so far.

Right now I'm starting to read a manga called My Awkward Senpai. Over the past 24 hours I've been seeing so many posts online about it getting an anime next year and I never heard of it until now and wanted to check it out to see if I like it.

I've been reading a Devotional by the YouTubers MoreJStu, AKA JStu. It's really good, every other page is written by a different person, the two people who made it are Justin (The owner of the Channel) and Andrew (The 2nd longest member of the channel since he has been friends with Justin for a very long time).

I finally started reading the first entry in the massive Wheel of Time series. I purchased the first 3 books as a boxed set almost 2 years ago now, but I haven't committed to it yet because there are 15 books in the series and it would be an enormous undertaking. I might experiment with switching between reading the physical book and listening to it through Audible. I've done this in the past and it's allowed me to get a lot more reading done while I'm busy driving, washing the dishes, or cleaning my room. I think for a series this large, switching between the two will be necessary if I plan to read all 15 books in my lifetime, lol.

I am reading the book "Scythe". Basically from what I can tell Human race is basically immortal now and has everything they could ever need. To counter being immortal there is select individuals ,"The Scythes", who each year have to kill X amount of people per year but they can't discriminate on who they kill. Basically the statistics we have now of how many people die. Like X people died in a plane crash this year. So in the book X people die from a plane death that year.

I am only on the first book out of 4 so I still have a lot to read and understand on it but I am enjoying it so far. Chapters are really short like 10 pages each so I can easily stop and go at anytime.

Right now I'm reading The Helpful Fox Senko San manga. I watched the anime a couple years ago but didn't get past the first few episodes. Then I randomly thought about it a few weeks ago and decided to read the manga instead of trying to get through the show and then having to move to the manga anyway for progression. I'm liking it so far.

I'm currently reading the 4th book I'm the Expanse series by James S.A. Corey. I'd read the first two books about a year ago and was told by a friend that the 3rd one was kinda boring and his opinion, one of the weakest of the series. Sure enough, when I started it, it was a slow burn, but before long, it picked up and I finished it in a few days. While it isn't my favorite, it was still pretty good. Now I'm approaching the halfway point in the 4th book. It's been solid so far, but I'm waiting for something to big to happen that will hook me in for hours.

I started reading "The Cooperstown Casebook" by Jay Jaffe a long time ago. I still haven't finished it, but I've been sporadically reading a few pages here and there. It's a pretty interesting book for anyone that cares about baseball history as much as I do.
