I personally think that it could work if they made a new pokemon game like this.

Might be kinda cool seeing a next gen pokemon game. I kinda think the franchise needs something new.

It's not first person, but they are going to release a new, different pokemon game on Wii this year. It looks pretty fun, actually, and is going with a completely different play style. The English translation of it's Japanese title (in other words the working title for the US version) is PokePark Wii: Pikachu's Great Adventure. Here's a link to Serebii.net's page on it:

Actually Chron, the real draw for me was the trial of strength page, specifically the battles. Try using a pikachu that knows iron tail, thunderbolt, and quick attack against a Groudon!
