I'm having some issues playing the vast majority of games on the site. I just joined today, referred from a friend through his excitement about the '64 emulator launch.

Anyways - I started reading through all the opening posts and whatnot, welcoming new users and directing them around; then I stumbled into the Flash Bash game. I tried playing, and all clicking features worked. I set up some controls and started a match offline, just to test it out. I was finding a lot of the keys didn't work. I chalked it up to the game not being finished, and went to try an old classic: Mega Man X.
To my dismay, again I had trouble playing the game due to keys not functioning. I was able to use my enter key to "press start" and skip the opening cut-scenes, and start a new game. I noticed I wasn't able to navigate the main menu though. After porting in, I couldn't move, shoot, or interact with X at all. I hit Enter, and the pause screen was brought up, but I couldn't navigate that either.
I pressed Esc and was able to flip through the dialog boxes in there, tried setting the keyboard keys, and using the keyboard default box, everything I could think of. No luck. Like any determined, but frustrated newbie with a die-hard passion for old games fueled by excitement... I gave up on the game.
I just tried Mario64 after a few other issues of the same nature, hoping that the flaws in my system were related directly to classic games, and the new 64 games would work peachy-keen. No dice.

I'm running on a Gateway MD7826U, using its laptop board with an HP USB mouse attached. Any help?

The N64 games are extremely hard to play on a keyboard. near impossible, actually. try double clicking the screen and reset the controls that way. I went out and got a controller to play these games myself, and they all work fine on it .

some games do have some issues, the plugin that we had to launch was the beta version, and the full version should be released next week. I'm having some issues with certain games that others arent. however, if the game actually launches and starts to play, you shouldnt have any issues

Tried getting rid of the plugin, clearing cookies, all the fun stuff so I could start fresh. Tried out Pokemon Gold, hoping that a mainstream game would be the most trouble-free, and success! Played 5 minutes worth to make sure it was bug-free.
Optimistic, I returned to Mega Man to find my old problem relived. The game does start and run, but like I said many functions don't appear to work with my keyboard, which is an unmodified integrated laptop board. Double-clicking on the game screen for X doesn't bring up any dropdowns like it did in Pokemon.

Mega Man X on the SNES is where my big troubles are happening where all but Esc and Enter are useless. Mario 64 was useless in much the same regard. Pokemon Gold is GBC.
Also just noticed that despite working seemingly flawlessly for a good twenty minutes, my Pokemon file didn't save despite first saving in the game, then in the emulator. That could be an internet settings issue, I'll try to figure that one out on my own.
