The fact it can disable any program it likes is a huge turn-down, as is the data mining which happens at all times.

This means, that basically, it can disable all your emulators on you, just because of piracy, which is of course useful for governments and such BUT what if you don't use emulators for playing games you don't own, perhaps? You're still buggered, as FCEUX will be terminated on sight. I'm still going to be using Vista for everything because it works, it's like Windows 7's precursor and it doesn't spy so much on me compared to this trash.

Also a lot of software can clash with 10 and make it go slushy and garbage.

If I had to describe Windows 10, I would call it a mix between Windows 7 and Windows 8 (desktop mode...not that awful metro screen).

I don't know where Luigi is getting his information, but Windows 10 doesn't block any programs.
The amount of data uploaded to Microsoft can be changed in the privacy settings. There are plenty of articles on how to do it....

Every program I used in Windows 7/8 work with 10...and I haven't see a slow down.

I will say that Windows 10 DOES have more overhead, so if you don't have a fairly good amount of RAM and processor power, you probably won't have the best Windows experience.

Actually, I don't think the Professional or Enterprise versions are too bad for privacy concerns, it's the home editions that have huge privacy risks and sell everything you do to the government.

I like Windows 10, it comes 2nd place on my list, only beaten by Windows 7.

I used to have an issue where I would hear a random buzzing sound of sorts randomly play whenever I play a game or watch a video, but ever since I wiped my hard drive last week, it seems to have stopped.

I use Windows 10 at work and I like it better than I liked Windows 8 when I first started using it lol. I like how it feels like a tablet with all the app options. I like Cortana and the New notifications list on the far right part of the task bar. I enjoy most that it came with Microsoft Edge as I didn't know anything about it before upgrading. I think the browser is great being that it is synchronized with OneNote. Back in college, this would have been awesome. I still think Windows 10 can deliver more but, for what's worth, it is a huge step up from Windows 7 when it comes to interaction and pushing your computer to do more. I think it works very well with multi-screen computers and touch screen computer/tablets. I am glad they went there and still tried to keep the components we like most from Windows 7. At first, is a bit different to get used to but, once you do is quite easy and has a lot of customization options.

I have Win10 on my main gaming laptop and I've liked it just fine. No real issues with it. Although I initially missed some of the features that Win8 had, I've grown to like this version just fine.

It was honestly one of the easiest upgrades/updates to an OS that I've ever had.

I just purchased a 2-in-1 (tablet with a connected keyboard) and it came with Windows 10. It seems to work pretty well so far, and is pretty manageable for someone very used to Win7 (unlike Windows 8, blech). Still keeping my desktop on Win7 though for as long as possible!

As long as I could still install and run Vizzed Plugin perfectly and still play Roblox, I'm fine with Windows 10. What I really like is the games from the Windows Store. I did have Windows 8.1 but i never used the Windows Store. Atleast they got rid of that awful Metro Screen.

I think that Windows 10 is okay, but not as good as Windows 7 and 8.

It was a huge upgrade from Windows 8. Windows 8 was by far the s***tiest one to date in my books. I would still prefer to use Windows 7 over Windows 10, but I do still use Windows 10 because I am just far too lazy to switch everything back and get used to Windows 7 again.

I think it is pretty good, but it is extremely slow on my brothers computer.

By agreeing to the ToS, you agree that Microsoft can disable their licensed "counterfeit games" and "unauthorized hardware peripheral devices," as covered in section 7b in the ToS that specifically covers "Xbox and Windows Games published by Microsoft"  and "Xbox Live."

I am sure they don't have a database of other companies' CD keys or are keeping track of emulation software, as the software itself doesn't violate any copyrights.

How old is your brother's computer, and what kind of computer does he have? And if you know how much space he has left tell me that too. I'm not trying to hack if that's what you're thinking. Installing Windows 10 takes up a lot of space, and if you have barely any space on your device left, it usually runs slow.

Chart : Like I said in a previous post, Windows 10 does have more overhead. So that means it needs more resources such as RAM and processor speed/power to run efficiently.
If he is running an older PC, you probably can't expect too much performance from it.
