Xubuntu is lightweight and fast. It uses the Xfce interface which looks very nice.

I use it (along with Windows XP as a dual boot) to do some things, especially for my documents because it has by default the excellent open-sourced word processor AbiWord.

The next release comes soon, around next month. Releases are done twice a year.
