I was watching a few random videos by ChannelFrederator and I found a pretty cool statement about something that Al Jean, who had been the executive producer for the last 14 seasons and current writer had said, and then I looked up up to see that it was true.

Apparently, Jean wants the show to serve as an endless loop, he says that if the show ever does end, the final episode will end with the beginning of the very first episode.

I think this is a great idea but it could end up being a bit weird in the end, what do you think?

Honestly, I think that's pretty cool. For the entire series to be one continuous loop is something unique. I would love to see that loop in a sitcom, but I think because of characters aging, it's probably gonna be best on animated series. Because, you know, Bart Simpson has been 10 years old for the past quarter of a decade.
