Try unplugging your keyboard. I don't think VBA can do anything like this if the keyboard is unplugged.

TotalSymphony : It seems to have suddenly fixed itself. My keyboard is still plugged in, but the numpad 7 thing isn't coming up anymore. Now I can properly assign all the buttons. Weird.
