It might be possible to use the standard gameshark codes for Pokemon Ruby, provided the same exist for Ruby.
Be aware though, this is a hack, so you might get some undesired results, since cheats modify code.

I can confirm you that Light Platinum supports the standard gameshark codes of Pokemon Ruby.

There should at least be one code which grants you infinite money, so stacking up items shouldn't be a problem with that, but I don't know if there's a code to obtain items other than Master Balls.

No worries on that, I found another website that I can play Pokemon Light Platinum with an emulator and use the gameshark or action replay codes to put in more codes for lives, masterballs and et cetera......
