Davideo7 : Oooh, additional options is something that I am really looking forward to. Can you spoil what some of them might be? Might end up renovating all my rented forums if there's enough stuff to put in them.

I was looking over a few of the initial changes a day or two ago. Now that you have stated this large number of widely different changes that you have made, my mind is blown!

I use a number of browsers for a multitude of purposes which includes a few of them that are long-since past when I should have buried them. In one case at least, a few features no longer functioned, images were missing, along with a few other problems that you would expect from a lack of updating. Thus far, it appears everything that was lost through obsolescence is working once again. I consider that to be a quite a feat in itself!


While I could go on and on about the appeal of the changes, I will skip that to save you time and reading. I will specifically give praise, however, on the fact that the tablet and phone versions of the site so far look and work beautifully!

Basically you'll have the options to alter your forum which will completely change the look of the forum's index page and all of the threads within that forum.

CobraGuy : I actually invested probably nearly 20 hours to get all of the updates to look fine in Internet Explorer. I figured that if I got it to look and work fine in IE, which is probably the toughest browser to get things to work with, then it's probably going to look fine in all browsers lol.

janus : I think most people don't realize how much work and money goes into a website. I have 12,500 hours invested into the site over the past 5 years.

The link to the thread regarding traffic drop is restricted. Don't know if its just me, or if you posted the link to a thread for higher users than me.

bigger0gamer : play4fun suggested I not show that information to the public so I placed it in a private forum. If you have any friends who are trusted, I'm fine with them sharing that info to you, it's nothing the regular users of the site can't see, I just don't want competitive websites to see it.

Davideo7: You actually counted them?! You are more than a geek; you are a FREAK!! But that is a good thing, of course

janus : It wasn't hard to figure out. Over the past 5 years, I've worked on the site full time and if I were to guess the average number of hours I put into the site during that time, it'd come out to be around 50 hours a week. 50 hours * 50 weeks = 2500 hours (to be on the conservative side, I didn't include 2 weeks). 5 Years * 2500 hours per a year = 12,500 total hours. And actually I've been working on the site full time for probably 6 1/2 years now come to think of it. I think it's safe to say that since the start of vizzed, I've invested nearly 20,000 hours into it. That's a huge chunk of my life.

One question though; can newbies/normal members completely change their profile as well or will there be a restriction or 2 that some User levels may have?

I forgot to actually post in here about the update - looks great. Really looking forward to what it will allow the users to do on their own. I really hope that this will bring more users to the site and help retain the ones that do come.

Davideo7 : Wow, just let me say I really admire your perseverance. I'm super poor right now and struggling to find a job, so I understand how hard it is when you have to struggle with money. I love this site so much and I hope it stays around for a long, long time. I will definitely donate when I have a little spare cash.

I have another question, which is something incredibly important.
Assuming we can now change usernames, will we also be able to change the gender on this site? That'd be great. Even if I do have to pay Viz or something like that, it'd be great.

Aaand here goes another question. Will we be able to change the username once a year or once a lifetime or whenever we want/how many times we want? (If we do have the Viz that is.)

This is all very cool, I especially like the List View for displaying games.

This is sounding more and more amazing all the time. I am so excited about this overhaul.

I do want to point out that currently the mobile layout seems to block RGR/VGR staff from being able to edit game pages from a phone and possibly tablet. Still many downloaded browsers (such as Opera Mobile) can switch to desktop mode for situations such as these, so it isn't a big deal. Just thought you might want to know.

Really, I have no complaints. I love the mobile look so far and these PC updates sound incredible.
