over it. i figured out how to get it next to it, havent the slightest clue as to how to put it over. i googled html a bit and tried finding a code that would work, but to no avail. only trouble is id probably have to try and find a color of text that would show easily, that or just use bold. if you could mess around with it for a bit to try and find the best text color/bold or combination and add it to the code, it would be great, but if it isnt needed, then thats ok too, but it might have to be bold anyways

I would say you could use something like what Gameplay01, Cyro Xero or devonm13 have.
If you have a look you will see they have a shaded box over their background that you can still see whats underneath but you can still read the text thats placed in the box.
Your thoughts?

would it be possible to make the box semi-transparent? so the text will still be on the box, but the box would be slightly transparent. if that is an option, could you make it as transparent as possible while still being able to easily see the text?

here is a link to the original photo:

and here is a couple other options if you dont want to try and work with that one, or if you think any of them are better:

also, if you choose to downsize it, can you make it its own scrollbox or whatever, like Juliet's?

Gameplays is semi transparent at 80% opacity.
This one is 50%, it's a bit too transparent I think.
I'll keep tweaking this later on

the text box doesnt look transparent at all.. looks solid black to me. gameplay's looked solid black too, thats why i asked if it were possible to make it transparent..

just checked it on IE, and it looks transparent on that browser, but not in FF.. why would that be?

That's weird, because it's transparent for me. What browser are you using?
Try viewing it in IE if you arn't.

EDIT: lol, ok. it must be a code that works on one but not the other.
That's why you couldn't see that Gameplays was also transparent.
I'll work on this more then...
(Why FF couldn't just use the same html as IE, but noooo, they have to be different... sigh)

another thing to note would be that in IE, the text box was in the top left corner of the image, while in FF it is in the middle.

but yea, it looked good over in IE, im sure that transparency wont have any problems, but if you think its too transparent then go ahead and change it

yes, its kinda transparent, but not very much. you can see the image behind it though
