So, me and
Snowdeath : had planned for a Vancouver, BC, Canada meet up from August 13 to the 16th. However, we had to cancel that due to not enough people being able to make it due to various reasons, and me not knowing if I am gonna be granted the time off from work or not, let alone get my passport in time.

So, we were talking in chat not too long ago, and decided to change a few things. Instead of Vancouver, BC we decided to move it to the Seattle, WA area. Now, while I live about a 30 minute drive north from Seattle, I am saying Seattle due to it being easier for people to identify the location.

There is still plenty to do in this area. There are a lot of touristy things. There are go karts, a water park, an amusement park a few hours away, batting cages, paintball ( somewhere ),... you get the idea.

I can help find hotels. There are a few rental car places nearby. The bus transit system is great. I can pick people up from the airport or the greyhound station if people decided to do that. I can even help 1 or 2 people out if they don't have enough by letting them stay at my apartment for the duration of their stay.

Now, you will see that the dates in the title say August 11th to the 20th. We decided to go this route because it would give people a bigger time frame to show up. And, with all there is to do in this area, we should be able to have something to do everyday that I am not working. ( I work weekend mornings, and Monday and Wednesday afternoons. So, really, the only non-active days would  be Saturday since I stay up after I get off on Sunday, and Monday and Wednesday evenings ) . Also, it lets people decide what days they want to come during that time frame, and whether they want to stay the entire time or not.

I don't know what else there is to cover...

If you are interested, let me know here so I can make plans for things.

RSVP List ( with dates )

But Thing you left out one of the more important parts of it, that you like long walks on the beach and women that are into guns :p

I kind of doubt any official vizzed meet-up event will ever successfully happen with having members from around all over the country not to mention the world and us playing roms instead of the real games because of pricing, people not affording to be able to travel. It's a nice thought, but realism yo

Good lord, that's far. I'll pass on this one for...the next 5 years or so. I assume Barathemos has the same story. If two 14 and 17 year old kids suddenly dropped everything and left for Seattle from Atlanta a week before school, bad things would happen. For everyone. Especially me.

I really do wish that I could come since I do enjoy Seattle. It's one of my favorite towns. I doubt I will be able to take the time off work though since I already am slated to go to Hawaii for my birthday at the end of September.

Maybe next time around when you guys do it I will show up.

I really want to go! But...It's just so far away from me. Plus my parents wouldn't want me to go...Maybe in a few years I'll be able to come to one of these though. When I can both afford to go, and go places when I want. lol

JayJaded :

I was actually thinking of trying to set one up in Atlanta sometime next year, as I do have family that is about an hour and a half drive south. Would you guys possibly be interested in this, if I should so decide to try to set one up in Atlanta?

thing1 : It all depends on when it is and how my workload is.

Honestly Seattle is more realistic for me overall as I try to go there every couple years (or more often if time and money allows) I love that city and my mom still lives in Portland, Or so I can kinda kill two birds with one stone.

Jordanv78 : I wouldn't mind having Seattle a yearly thing. But like I have said countless times, the goal is to be able to have a worldwide meetup somewhere within 5 years.

thing1 : I'm moving out of the house next summer, so I might actually be able to go to one in Atlanta at some point after this year. I'm not so sure about Barathemos, our parents may not approve. But as for me, it may actually be a possibility.
