I think it depends on the game and way you saved, but most times you just either start a new game and / or save over the old save to get rid of it.
Or if you absolutly must be rid of the save file completely rather then saving over it you could always ask Davideo7 or JigSaw to delete your save files.
Don't know if they will though ~shrug~
