I was looking at them on Ebay and the used, no box, carts were selling for at least $75 (and sometimes significantly more).  What's the deal with that?  Was CBFD a hard to find game when it originally came out?

I think it is just a rare game these days. I think it is one of the highest collected games for the N64.

So are there people who actually collect those cartridges, like just to own it, as opposed to having it to play it?

I saw there was one listed that said it didn't work but it still had lots of bids.

This didn't happen now, but about 10 years ago, I went to Gamestop to trade in a game and they gave me $20 for it. It was an old ps1 game with no cover or anything and the game itself was like 2 years old already.

That's a PS1 game 10 years ago making more than games do now in trades.
