Now that I have so many Viz points in the bank (and I have all the add-ons I need like the universal gaming machine) I would love to spend them.

Renting a forum looks like an excellent option - plus it can make me earn MORE in the long run. I would like to create one specially dedicated to video game music instead of dispersing the subject over several threads (Video Game, Video Game Franchise, Music).

Unfortunately, the thread linking to the pre-requisites to create such forums was closed 2 years ago. Is there still a way to create new forums?

The only person who can create new forums completely is David, but he's been too busy to do so.

Nowadays the only way to get a new forum is to obtain a rented forum via auction or a similar process and once you have it, have it repurposed (though I think David has to do the rebranding).

Note that those chances don't come around often so don't expect to get a forum at light speed.

janus : None that I know of. However, Culinary Delights was auctioned off about a week ago.

Rented forums in decline are likely to hold auctions, but that depends if and when- SOS Brigade had its last post in December and has remained unauctioned (https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=76799)

You are probably more likely to find a user auctioning off his rented forum because he doesn't want to run it anymore/lack of activity ETC. I know that a user was recently auctioning one off a week or so ago, but it's probably sold by now. Just keep your eyes out in the forums!

The last time David rented a forum off it went off for millions of Viz and that was the only time he had done that in years. As for auctions, you might be lucky to see two per year.

One for game music sounds really good actually, but I think one for soundtracks in general would be better, to include movies as well.
