If some of you might remember, last year I had many problems with my financial aid going through so I got all my money like 5 months late. That was because the person doing my application accidently applied for next year. Now that last year is over, that one big mistake is quite helpful because I already had an application for next year which means that as of right now, before the summer even really began, I official had the entire next year paid for already which is really good. Still might have some trouble paying for the books and trains though.

That's really convenient. Well, less to have to stress over is better. Figuring out how to pay for a train and books is easier when you don't have to pay for the school itself too. Hope you do well this year!

Hey, that's lucky for you! Like one of the Dutch football/soccerplayers once said 'Each disadvantage has its advantage' and that seems to be the case here. Books and trains are never cheap, isn't there a cheaper mode of transport you can use though?

juuldude : I could walk but my school is on the entire other side of the city. *Uses Mapquest* It's 16 miles. The worst part though is that I have to take a bus, then the trains, and then another bus, so I need to pay twice in each direction.

Besides. riding the entire 16 miles each way would still take about 2 hours each way and even if I was allowed to bring bikes onto trains and busses, that would still cost me a whole $30 a week. Plus I would need a permit to leave the bike at school.

A permit for bike parking? What kind of school is that?! Even if it doesn't apply to you - 16 miles is indeed much to far, especially when carrying your books - it's a crazy concept.

Anyway I'm glad you have one fewer problem. For books, try Amazon. I saved at least 10-20 percent over my total bill by doing it, even though they arrived 1-2 weeks after classes started.

I was wondering how it was taking so long for your money to come through. But it turned out to be better in the end! Hopefully you can come up with the money for the books and trains so you can just focus on your school year instead of having to worry a lot about money too.
