Chapter 6 Rikaru city

“He, Finally we are in Rikaru city, now just to rest and then I’ll fight the gym leader.” Elric said.

“Why are you in such an hurry, we could just walk around and see what this place has to offer.” Luna said.

“Well I’m on a mission to do something at a specific place, but to get there I need all badges, and I have the feeling I’m on a time limit.” Elric said.

“Alright, we’ll rest and then you get to challenge the gym, but after that I’m going sightseeing.” Luna said.

“Alright fair enough, it’s also your journey, so I’ll come with you, I want to see what you actually want to do here.” Elric said.

They went to a Pokemon Center to rest.

They went to the gym the next morning.

“HELLO, ANYONE HERE, I’M ELRIC AND I’M HERE FOR THE GYM MATCH!” Elric yelled.

There was a moment of silence.

“I don’t think there is anyone there.” Luna said.

"I know somebody is in there." Elric said.

Suddenly the doors opened.

Luna and Elric walked inside and came out by an arena.

“Hello I’m the gym leader Sophia and I accept your challenge, I’ll give you a tip, I use normal types and this will be my first Pokemon, go Aipom.” Sophia said.

“Then this will be my first Pokemon, Fletchling show them what we can do.” Elric said.

“Fletch, Fletchling.” Fletchling said.

“Alright this is an gym match, the gym leader is only allowed to use 2 Pokemon while the challenger is allowed to use all his Pokemon, also the challenger will be the only one allowed to switch Pokemon, without further ado, begin.” The referee said.

“Alright Fletchling use peck.” Elric said.

“Aipom rock smash.” Sophia said.

Aipom overpowered Fletchling and threw her back.

“Now use ember.” Elric said.

“Use shadow claw.” Sophia said.

The shadow claw blocked the ember.

“Now use double team.” Sophia said.

“So that is his third move, what is his last move?” Elric thought.

“This could be trouble, especially if Fletchling hits a fake.” Luna said.

“Fletchling use razor wind on that Aipom.” Elric said as he pointed at one.

Fletchling hit the Aipom and it turned to be the real one.

“Now use steel wing.” Elric said.

“Aipom use rock smash.” Sophia said.

Aipom overpowered Fletchling and threw her back.

“Swift now.” Sophia said. The attack hit Fletchling.

“I’ve got an idea, but I’ll need to time it right.” Elric thought.

“Aipom use double team and then use swift.” Sophia said.

“Fletchling dodge and then use ember on that Aipom.” Elric said.

Fletchling dodged and hit Aipom with ember.

“Fletchling use steel wing.” Elric said.

“Fletch?” Fletchling said.

“You can trust me, this will work.” Elric said.

“Aipom use rock smash.” Sophia said.

The 2 Pokemon rushed towards each other.

“Now dodge and hit him.” Elric said.

Fletchling dodged and hit Aipom.

“Now finish it off with razor wind.” Elric said.

Fletchling hit Aipom with razor wind, fainting him.

“Aipom is unable to battle, meaning that Fletchling wins the match, gym leader please sent out your next Pokemon.” The referee said.

“That was a good fight kid, now here is my next Pokemon, go Kangaskhan.” Sophia said.

“Kanga.” Kangaskhan said.

“I’ll show you something, do you see what Kangaskhan has around her left arm.” Sophia said.

“I-it’s a mega stone.” Elric and Luna said at the same time.

“Kangaskhan use shock wave.” Sophia said.

“Fletchling dodge and use peck.” Elric said. Fletchling dodged and hit Kangaskhan.

“Now use razor wind.” Elric said. “Block it.” Sophia said. Kangaskhan blocked the attack.

“Now then, time to test them at their full power pal, MEGA EVOLVE!” Sophia said.

Kangaskhan mega evolved.

“Fletchling use ember.” Elric said.

“Use shock wave my friend.” Sophia said.

The shock wave completely overpowered the ember.

The shock wave hit Fletchling, fainting her.

“Fletchling is unable to continue, Kangaskhan wins.” The referee said.

“Let’s see, the move she used was shock wave, that can’t help her against Electrike, okay let’s go buddy.” Elric said.

Electrike jumped off of Elrics shoulder and ran onto the battle field.

“Alright battle begin.” The referee said.

“Electrike use bite and follow it up with thundershock.” Elric said.

Both attacks hit Kangaskhan. “Use hidden power.” Elric said.

“Use shock wave to block it.” Sophia said.

“Electrike get in the way.” Elric said.

Electrike took the shock wave.

Electrike smiled.

"The ability lightningrod huh." Luna thought.

The hidden power hit Kangaskhan.

“Kangaskhan use water pulse.” Sophia said.

The attack hit Electrike.

“Now use rock smash.” Sophia said.

“Electrike dodge and use thundershock.” Elric said.

Electrike dodged and hit Kangaskhan.

“Kangaskhan use water pulse.” Sophia said.

“Dodge and use spark with everything you’ve got.” Elric said.

“Is he really depending the battle on his strongest move?” Luna thought.

Electrike rushed towards Kangaskhan.

“Kangaskhan use mega punch.” Sophia said.

The 2 attacks collided and exploded.

Elric glared at the smoke.

Sophia laughed.

“What is it?” Elric asked.

“Nothing, I am just enjoying myself, it’s not often someone is this good with his Pokemon, you’re a great trainer.” Sophia said.

“Electrike has lost.” Luna thought.

The smoke cleared and Electrike had fainted while Kangaskhan was still standing.

“And Electrike has fainted, so Kangaskhan wins.” The referee said.

“Elric needs to be careful, he has only one Pokemon left, so he has to make it count.” Luna said.

Suddenly Luna realized that she enjoyed it.

“Alright, Balbusaur, everything is on us 2, let’s make our power known.” Elric said.

Balbusaur came out of his Pokeball and glared at Kangaskhan.

“Alright let’s continue, Balbusaur use razor leaf.” Elric said.

The attack hit Kangaskhan.

“Follow it up with vine whip.” Elric said.

“Kangaskhan grab it.” Sophia reacted.

Kangaskhan grabbed the whips and pulled Balbusaur close.

“Now use rock smash.” Sophia said. Kangaskhan hit Balbusaur.

“Balbusaur use tackle.” Elric said.

“Grab him again and then use water pulse.” Sophia said.

Kangaskhan grabbed Balbusaur and hit him with water pulse.

“Balbusaur use razor leaf.” Elric said.

The attack hit Kangaskhan.

“Balbusaur use tackle.” Elric said.

Balbusaur ran towards Kangaskhan.

“Kangaskhan grab him.” Sophia said.

“Use razor leaf and then tackle.” Elric said.

Balbusaur hit Kangaskhan with razor leaf and then with tackle.

“Kangaskhan use shock wave, and then rock smash.” Sophia said.

The 2 attacks hit Balbusaur.

“Balbusaur use vine whip.” Elric said.

“Grab it.” Sophia said.

Kangaskhan grabbed the whips and began pulling Balbusaur closer.

“Now use tackle.” Elric said.

Balbusaur hit Kangaskhan with tackle.

“Use rock smash.” Sophia said.

The attack hit Balbusaur.
 
“Now use mega punch with everything you got.” Sophia said.

The attack hit Balbusaur who fell down.

Balbusaur got up and suddenly used sleep powder.

“What, you learned a new move?” Elric said.

“Kangaskhan please wake up.” Sophia said.

“Balbusaur use tackle and then vine whip.” Elric said.

The 2 attacks hit Kangaskhan.

“Now finish it, razor leaf.” Elric said.

The attack hit Kangaskhan, fainting her.

“Alright we won, we did it.” Elric said.

“You did great, here is your badge, it’s named the start badge.” Sophia said.

“ALRIGHT I DID IT!” Elric yelled.

“Wonderful job Elric.” Luna said.

“Thanks, but the battle was harder than I thought, I’ll need to train a lot more if I want to win the next gym.” Elric said.

“You’ll win, I know that.” Luna said.
